Socialite Paris Hilton was left with a lifelong suspicion of men after the notorious leak of her sex tape.
The hotel heiress was devastated when the intimate footage, showing her romping with her then-boyfriend Rick Salomon, hit the Internet in 2004, and she later sued him for leaking the tape.
Hilton previously denied rumours that she had consented to the leak to gain publicity for her reality TV show The Simple Life, and now she has revealed the scandal had a huge impact on her and she finds it impossible to trust any man.
Hilton tells Britain's Stella magazine, "It was devastating because that was someone I was with for a few years. I don't think I'll ever be able to fully trust any man again after that. It was just the most hurtful and awful thing that anyone could do to a little girl. I was very young, it wasn't my fault."
Actress Pamela Anderson has been photographed kissing her estranged husband Rick Salomon, two weeks after filing for divorce. The former Baywatch beauty moved to end her six-month marriage to film producer and professional poker player Salomon on 3 July (14), and she subsequently sparked rumours she had moved on by embracing her ex-boyfriend Chuck Zito following a dinner date in West Hollywood last Friday (11Jul14).
However, it appears Anderson has since had a change of heart about dumping Salomon after appearing to seal their reconciliation with a passionate kiss while out in Malibu, California on Wednesday (16Jul14).
Anderson and Salomon initially wed in 2007, but the union was annulled two months later.
The actress was also previously married to rockers Kid Rock and Tommy Lee, with whom she has two sons.
Pamela Anderson has reportedly reunited with her former boyfriend Chuck Zito just days after filing for divorce from husband Rick Salomon. The ex-Baywatch babe moved to end her six-month union to film producer and poker professional Salomon earlier this month (Jul14), seven years after their first marriage, which lasted two months, ended in an annulment.
Now it appears Anderson has revived her one-time relationship with Sons of Anarchy actor Zito, who she was photographed embracing in a car following a dinner date together at The Rainbow Room in West Hollywood, California on Friday (11Jul14).
The pair was previously romantically linked in 2007, when Zito was hired as Anderson's bodyguard.
Anderson's split from Salomon will mark her third divorce - she has also been married to rockers Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.
Crazy Horse bassist Billy Talbot has been forced to pull out of Neil Young's upcoming European tour after suffering a mild stroke. Talbot's doctors expect the rocker to make a full recovery, but they have advised Talbot to exit the tour and recover at home.
Crazy Horse will be joined by Rick Rosas, who has played with Young extensively throughout the years, when the European dates kick off in Reykjavik, Iceland on 7 July (14).
Young will also have the support of backing vocalists Dorene Carter and YaDonna West from the group Mahogany Blue.
British rockers Kasabian paid tribute to their longtime roadie during their headline set at Glastonbury festival on Sunday night (29Jun14) by leading the crowd in a rendition of Happy Birthday as a treat for their pal. The Fire hitmakers closed the iconic three-day event in the south west of England, and they entertained revellers with tracks including Club Foot, Empire, Shoot the Runner, and a cover of Gnarls Barkley's Crazy.
Towards the end of their show, the band told the crowd their roadie of ten years, identified only as Rick, was celebrating his birthday on Sunday and they invited him on to the stage before leading the audience in a chorus of Happy Birthday.
Guitarist Serge Pizzorno said, "He's given his life to rock and roll so we owe him that."
Frontman Tom Meighan also spoke movingly of how the band first played Glastonbury ten years ago in an early afternoon slot on a remote stage, and he thanked fans for helping them achieve headline status.
Earlier on Sunday, country legend Dolly Parton proved to be the biggest draw of Glastonbury 2014 when she attracted a capacity crowd during her afternoon set, performing to larger numbers than Friday night (27Jun14) headliners Arcade Fire and Saturday's (28Jun14) bill-toppers Metallica.
Rap mogul Rick Rubin has confirmed reports suggesting he and Kanye West have started work on a sequel to the hip-hop star's Yeezus album. In a new BBC interview the in-demand producer reveals he and Kanye are developing "vocal ideas for things for the next album".
Rubin says, "I love him, I think he’s a great guy, super smart and from a creative standpoint, I can’t think of anyone who has been more consistently great from the time they started making music until now... I think he’s the most consistently great creative person in music today."
And recalling the first time he heard the music for Kanye's last album, the producer adds, "There were loads of great ideas and there were many many tracks and we listened to everything together. He originally came over and said, 'I wanna come play you my new album', and I thought we’d be listening to a finished album. Then we listened to about three hours of music, most of which didn’t have vocals, and at the end I was like, 'Wow, so what’s it gonna be?'
"I’m thinking it’s a year away and he was like, 'Well, I’m putting it out in, like, five to six weeks’. It was just a funny conversation because it was completely normal to him, it’s just the way he works."
Actors Eric Idle, Chris O'dowd, Russell Brand and David Walliams are among the stars who have paid tribute to beloved British funnyman Rik Mayall, who died on Monday (09Jun14) at the age of 56. The shocking death has rocked the U.K. entertainment industry and tributes have since flooded in for Mayall, who established himself as a stand-up star in comedy troupe The Comic Strip, a group which also featured his college pal and future professional partner Adrian 'Ade' Edmondson and Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.
He rose to national fame as one of four students sharing a house in hit sitcom The Young Ones in 1982 and went on to enjoy a slew of iconic roles, including as a mean-spirited politician in The New Statesman and an arrogant military officer in Rowan Atkinson's comedy Blackadder. He also re-teamed with Edmondson to play a pair of hopeless single men in slapstick show Bottom.
Fellow funnyman Walliams was among the first to take to Twitter.com to express his sadness at Mayall's loss, sharing a video clip of his role in Blackadder and writing, "I am heartbroken that my comedy idol growing up Rik Mayall has died. He made me want to be a comedian."
Simon Pegg simply posted YouTube footage of Mayall in The Young Ones with fans, while Brand tweets, "And all the grown-ups will say, 'But why are the kids crying?' And the kids will say, 'Haven't you heard? Rick (sic) is dead' RIP".
Irish actor O'Dowd adds, "Very sad to hear about Rik Mayall's passing. 'Bottom' was a huge part of my youth", and director Edgar Wright posts, "Shocked and saddened that a comedy hero is gone; for those who grew up on The Young Ones, Rik Mayall was one of funniest performers ever."
Monty Python veteran Idle tweets, "Very sad to hear of the passing of Rik Mayall. Far too young. A very funny and talented man", and Blackadder producer and writer John Lloyd tells the BBC, "It's really a dreadful piece of news. He was the most extraordinarily good actor as well as being an amazing stand-up comics. Apart from being great company, he was a great professional."
Meanwhile, his close friend Edmondson has also issued a statement about the years they spent working together, declaring, "They were some of the most carefree, stupid days I ever had and I feel privileged to have shared them with him."
Mayall's cause of death has yet to be determined, but a spokesman for Scotland Yard police reveals paramedics were called to the comedian's house in Barnes, south-west London at 1.20pm local time, when "a man, aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene". His passing is not believed to be suspicious.
His death comes 16 years after the comedian was left in a coma for several days in 1998 following a quad bike accident near his home in south-west England. He survived the scare but suffered memory problems as a result of the crash.
In recent years, Mayall had concentrated mainly on voiceover work and TV shorts.
It may be easy to hate on Kanye West the celebrity, but as an artist you really have to admire his work and the fascinating stuff he creates with the people around him. Even at this year's Tribeca Film Festival — where he didn't premiere any film projects, and he didn't have a role in any indie productions — he managed to make headlines for his involvement.
Kanye and the legendary Rick Rubin were supposed to accept a Disruptive Innovation Award on behalf of the Roland TR-808 drum machine. They couldn't make it to the venue, so director Mark Romanek compiled this very strange, but wonderfully interesting video of them giving thanks:
Pink Floyd's The Wall + Kanye West's I'm In It + Laurel and Hardy + other cool things we don't even know what to do with = easily the greatest award acceptance video "speech" of all time. While other celebrities may not be interested in turning this into a trend, it's certainly a creative endeavour that we'd love to see happen more often.
