Friends of George Michael fear he is living as a hermit following his collapse earlier this year (14), according to a report. The former Wham! singer was hospitalised in May (14) after reportedly falling ill at his London home, and now several pals and neighbours are worried about his wellbeing.
He is reportedly rarely seen outside of his house and only one friend, record producer David Austen, is seen visiting, according to neighbours.
One friend tells Britain's Sunday People newspaper, "People are worried sick about him. He's just cut himself off from everyone."
Another adds, "He hasn't been seen out for months, he's self-conscious about the scars on his throat and head... and he's put on weight."
Michael was left with the scars from a near-fatal car accident last year (13), when he fell out of a moving vehicle on a highway.
Australian singer/actress Natalie Imbruglia is considering signing up for Internet dating as she is struggling to find a man.
The Torn hitmaker split from Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns in 2008 after five years of marriage, and has since been linked to stars including Friends actor David Schwimmer and Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill.
However, Imbruglia admits she has now been single for a long time and she is turning to online dating websites in a bid to find love.
She tells KIIS 1065's The Kyle and Jackie O Show, "(My love life is) shocking! I'm so single... I don't know (why)... I just want to meet (someone normal)... I'm starting to consider that I should go on (dating app) Tinder... Well where am I going to meet people?... My girlfriend in London has fallen madly in love on her third Tinder date and I'm incredibly jealous. And he's a really nice normal guy, a director... I've met him, he's really sweet and really normal... Everyone I know who is single is on Tinder in London."
When the presenters informed the star that most people who use the app are just looking for one-night stands, Imbruglia replies, "No! Is that what it is? Now I'm regretting bringing this up on the radio!... Ok you've turned me off now."
Music stars including Pharrell Williams, Calvin Harris, Maroon 5 and Kylie Minogue are among the headliners named for the 2014 iTunes Festival in London. David Hasselhoff's ex-wife is under investigation after reportedly driving into a parked car and leaving the scene. Police sources tell TMZ.com that Pamela Bach was driving home last week (11Jul14) when her vehicle collided with a car on her street.
Officials have taken a hit-and-run report, and the case is currently under investigation.
The singer insists she sideswiped a neighbour's car while reaching for her cell phone, and drove off because she considered the damage was minor.
Bach was prosecuted for a hit-and-run in 2007 but the case was dismissed.
Pop star Justin Bieber has been photographed apparently drinking beer in a nightclub in breach of strict age-limit laws.
The Baby hitmaker, 20, headed to the popular Bootsy Bellows nightclub in West Hollywood, California this week (ends20Jul14) with controversial singer Chris Brown and was snapped topless and clutching a bottle of lager as he chatted to a female reveller.
The legal age for drinking alcohol in the U.S. is 21, and editors at TMZ.com report officials at the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control are investigating whether the venue's owners have breached conditions of their licence. The nightclub is co-owned by actor David Arquette.
The incident is the latest scandal for Bieber - he is currently at the centre of a driving under the influence (DUI) case following his arrest in Miami, Florida in January (14), and he is also facing prosecution in his native Canada over claims he lashed out at a limousine driver in December (13).
Britney Spears was left embarrassed on Sunday (13Jul14) after forgetting to pay a restaurant bill following a mix-up with her security guard. The Toxic hitmaker enjoyed a light lunch with her boyfriend David Lucado at The Cheesecake Factory in Thousand Oaks, California and told her waitress the $30 (£18) bill would be picked up by her bodyguard.
She and Lucado then left the eatery, but her guard assumed the meal had been paid for and did not return to hand over the cash.
Spears was later made aware of the mix up and has since settled her debt with the restaurant.
Her representative tells TMZ.com the singer feels "horrible" about what she insists was an honest mistake.
Singer Michael Buble has a dedicated dentist to thank for helping him perform at his concert in Manchester, New Hampshire last week (end11Jul14) after dislodging a crown on his tooth hours before showtime. The Home hitmaker's tour manager tracked down Dr. David Bloom on Friday morning (11Jul14) after the singer suffered the dental mishap while attempting to tear a ketchup packet with his teeth.
Bloom cleared his schedule for the emergency and Buble showed his gratitude to the medic by posing for photos with him and his staff, before gifting them with front row tickets for his gig at the Verizon Wireless Arena that night.
He even shared the news about his dental disaster with fans at the gig, before publicly thanking Bloom for taking care of him.
Dr. Bloom says, "(Buble) stopped the show and he said, 'Just want to tell you what happened today,' and he told everybody what happened. He said, 'This guy right down here took care of me.'
"It made for a very interesting Friday."
It's not the first time Buble has required emergency dental work while on tour - he knocked out a tooth with his microphone as he performed onstage in Sydney, Australia in May (14).
Justin Bieber's lawyer has been granted another three weeks to secure a plea deal with prosecutors in the pop superstar's Florida DUI case. The 20-year-old hitmaker was slapped with charges of resisting arrest and DUI in January (14) after he was accused of drag racing with a pal in Miami Beach.
The case was expected to go to trial this summer (14), but reports last month (Jun14) suggested the counts would be dropped if the singer completes an anger management course.
A brief hearing was held in a Miami court on Wednesday (16Jul14), when it was revealed a plea agreement had yet to be finalised.
Bieber's lawyer Mark Shapiro and Assistant State Attorney David Gilbert filed a joint motion asking for extra time to negotiate a deal, and the request was granted by Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield.
The two sides will meet in court again on 5 August (14). If a plea deal is not reached by that date, they will discuss plans to move to trial.
Bieber was not in court for the hearing.
The DUI case is just one of the singer's legal woes - he is also facing prosecution in Canada amid allegations he lashed out at a limousine driver in December (13), and earlier this week (begs14Jul14), he was ordered to sit for another deposition in an assault lawsuit filed against him by a paparazzo in Miami following an altercation last summer (13).
Singer Jason Mraz is aiming to follow in the footsteps of David Bowie and the Beastie Boys by becoming only the third musician to perform in each of New York's five boroughs on the same tour. The California-based I'm Yours hitmaker announced the mini Big Apple residency on Wednesday (16Jul14), during a press conference at the Empire State Building landmark, revealing he will play shows in Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan in September (14) in celebration of his new album, YES!.
He will wrap up the gigs with two shows at the city's iconic Radio City Music Hall, before heading to Europe to continue his world tour.
Brooklyn natives the Beastie Boys previously completed the feat, while British rocker Bowie trekked across the five boroughs in 2002 as part of his Heathen Tour.
Superstar Madonna was dismissed from jury duty at a New York court on Monday (07Jul14), just two hours after her arrival. The Material Girl hitmaker was originally scheduled to fulfil her civic duty in May (14), but postponed the date due to illness.
On Monday, the singer, wearing black suit, black sunglasses and platform sandals, showed up at the 60 Centre Street venue accompanied by two court officers, three policemen, two bodyguards and an assistant, and was ushered upstairs to a private office for a meeting with the head clerk.
She was subsequently released without being interviewed for the panel.
Court spokesman David Bookstaver reveals Madonna was allowed to go free as officials already had plenty of prospective jurors for the day's cases and didn't want the Queen of Pop to create a distraction during the selection process.
However, he insisted her court appearance alone "really goes to show that everyone gets called".
