Someone alert Agent Mulder, Scully is back on the market! After a six-year-long relationship, X Files star Gillian Anderson has split from her boyfriend, Mark Griffiths. "Gillian Anderson and her partner Mark Griffiths have amicably separated after six years together," Anderson's rep told Us Weekly. While the couple never married, they have two sons together: Oscar, age five, and Felix, three.
Back in March, Anderson opened up to Out magazine about her young love life. "I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school," she said. Anderson speaks candidly and comfortably of her lesbian relationship, wary of making it a big deal. "If I had thought I was 100% gay, would it have been a different experience for me? ... It’s possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys."
In the past decade, however, Anderson has been unlucky in love. She and her first husband, director Clyde Klotz, divorced in 1997. Then, after a two-year marriage, she split from her second husband Julian Ozanne in 2006.

'X Files' Star Gillian Anderson: I've Had Lesbian Relationships
X Files writer gunning for a third box office installment
A representative for The X-Files star has confirmed the 43 year old's romance with Mark Griffiths is over.
Anderson was previously married to filmmakers Clyde Klotz and Julian Ozanne.
She and Griffiths have two children, Oscar, five, and three-year-old Felix.
The actress also has a 17-year-old daughter from her three-year marriage to Klotz in the mid-1990s.
If you were a fan of the sci-fi drama The X Files back in the day, you'll be intrigued to learn an interesting tidbit about one of its most beloved stars. Best known for her longtime role on the series as Agent Scully, Gillian Anderson revealed in the April issue of Out magazine that she's had numerous romantic relationships with women.
The actress was completely comfortable opening up about the experience, admitting, "I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school." But her trial with same-sex romances extended further than just a one time thing. She confessed to having additional flings with other women as well, telling the magazine,"You know, I'm old enough that I can talk about that."
The 43-year-old star went on to contemplate what life would've been like had she completely come out to the public. She wondered, "If I had thought I was 100 percent gay, would it have been a different experience for me?...Would it have been a bigger deal if shame had been attached to it and all those things that become huge life-altering issues for youngsters in that situation?" But in the end, she concluded, "It's possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys."
As of now, Anderson is currently partnered with (but not married to) her longtime boyfriend Mark Griffiths, whom she shares two sons with: Oscar and Felix. The star also has a 17-year-old daughter, Piper, from her first marriage to Clyde Klotz (her second marriage was to Julian Ozanne, whom she divorced in 2006). It goes to show you're never too old to have a few skeletons in your closet.
The actress divorced Clyde Klotz, the father of her 15-year-old daughter Piper, in 1997, and her three-year union with Julian Ozanne ended in 2007.
Anderson started dating current partner Mark Griffiths in 2006 after separating from Ozanne, and the pair has two sons together - three-year-old Oscar and Felix, 18 months.
The 41 year old isn't in any rush to walk down the aisle again, because she doesn't want to destabilise her relationship Griffiths - although she admits they probably will make their union official "at some point" in the future.
She says, "Undoubtedly, it will happen at some point. But I just don't want the fact of it to change how things are. Things are fantastic the way that they are. And I'm slightly worried that there's something in me that... it all feels fine. I've already done it. I just don't want to screw things up. Things are great just as they are. But I probably will at some point."
The X-Files star Gillian Anderson is reportedly expecting her new lover's baby, just three months after splitting from second husband Julian Ozanne.
The 37-year-old has confided in friends that she is expecting a child with Mark Griffiths following the breakdown of her 18-month-marriage, according to British newspaper the Mail On Sunday.
Anderson, who already has a daughter from her first marriage, split from documentary filmmaker Ozanne in April and has already moved in with British businessman Griffiths.
The actress is enjoying professional success with BAFTA and Emmy nominations for her portrayal of Lady Dedlock in a television adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel Bleak House.
A spokesperson for Anderson says, "It is not out policy to comment on a client's private life. We know, however, that you would like to congratulate her on her Emmy nomination for Bleak House and great continual professional success."

Former X-Files star Gillian Anderson is a married woman, after quietly tying the knot with her filmmaker boyfriend Julian Ozanne in Africa.
The couple exchanged vows on December 29 on Lamu's Shella Island, off Kenya's Indian Ocean coast.
Anderson, 36, and Ozanne, 42, were married in a civil ceremony by the local district officer and their union was blessed by a Kenyan priest, reports People
The event was attended only by Anderson's immediate family--who had flown over from the United States--and a handful of close friends in the gardens of London socialite Kate Barker's Moroccan-style beach house. A Kenyan choir sang hymns
in Swahili, and the bridesmaid was Gillian's 10-year-old daughter, Piper, from her previous marriage to movie art director Clyde Klotz.
After the ceremony, the couple hosted a dinner of fresh lobsters, crab, and king-size prawns, and fireworks and a fire dancer provided the backdrop.
