"I would date someone, figure out we weren't compatible or figure out we didn't work out, and then we'd break up. That seems like a very normal thing for a young 20-something to do." Taylor Swift insists there is nothing unusual about her dating life. The pop star has become known for her string of high-profile romances with exes including Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and Harry Styles.
Sir Paul McCartney has debuted a previously unreleased version of Wings' Beware My Love featuring late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham. During a live chat on Twitter.com on Monday (20Oct14), McCartney urged fans to check out the new version of the 1976 song, which will feature on the upcoming expanded reissue of his band's album Wings at the Speed of Sound.
Bonham did make it on to a Wings album - he played on two tracks on 1979's Back to the Egg.
During McCartney's Twitter chat with fans, he responded to questions from celebrities Joe Montegna and Ryan Adams, who asked the former Beatle if he was an alien.
Beatles icon Ringo Starr has become the unlikely new face of famous footwear brand Skechers. The veteran rocker will front the fashion firm's new Relaxed Fit Footwear campaign, becoming the first musician to promote the shoe line, following in the footsteps of former American football stars Joe Montana and Joe Namath.
In a statement, Skechers bosses say, "Ringo possesses the charm, cool charisma and instant global recognition that will elevate awareness for our popular Relaxed Fit footwear collection. Ringo is not only a music icon, but also a style icon and is the perfect ambassador to illustrate how our footwear helps keep you relaxed in any situation."
Starr, who also modelled for a recent John Varvatos menswear campaign, joins the likes of Demi Lovato and British actress Kelly Brook as spokesmodels for Skechers, which previously boasted Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears as brand representatives.
Pop star Taylor Swift is refraining from jumping back into the dating game until she meets the "one-in-a-million" man of her dreams.
The Love Story hitmaker has been taking a break from romance in recent months after enjoying a long list of high-profile relationships with beaus including Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Joe Jonas, and she admits spending time by herself and with close friends and family has given her a whole new perspective on life. She tells People magazine, "I used to be fascinated by romance. Now I'm more realistic... The last couple of years have been about defining life on my own terms. Being on my own, prioritizing my girlfriends, my family and my music above everything else and trying things I never thought I'd try. It's a really liberating and freeing time."
But that doesn't mean Swift has given up on finding lasting love - instead, she is choosing to wait for 'The One' as the thought of facing the paparazzi to date a new string of suitors gives her a panic attack.
She explains, "I'm not going to compromise the happiness and independence that I've found for just anybody. The idea of a date gives me a partial panic attack! It includes 40 paparazzi cameras shooting through windows at us, and that's not relaxing or alluring for me. That makes me want to crawl under the couch and hide! But I'm fine! I have two cats, that's all I need. "It would take an astonishing human being for me to even consider getting back into a relationship. It would take something really, really, really, really different - a kind of one-in-a-million person for me to face all that. "I don't have any kind of idea who I'd want to be with, because I don't have any pieces missing from my life right now. I'm not looking for anything to complete me. I think that's a nice place to be."
Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and Kix Brooks have sent their condolences to fellow country singer Rachel Bradshaw after her husband, American football star Rob Bironas, was killed in a car crash on Saturday night (20Sep14). The former Tennessee Titans kicker lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a line of trees in Nashville, Tennessee before his car overturned.
He was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced dead at the age of 36.
Police have not found any evidence to suggest alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
The news of Bironas' passing hit the country community hard and a slew of celebrity friends took to Twitter.com to pay tribute.
Upon learning of the news on Sunday morning (21Sep14), Underwood wrote, "Shocked and saddened this morning at the passing of Rob Bironas. Such a nice guy. Sending prayers and love to his family..." and Randy Houser posted, "Sad to hear of the passing of @RobBironas last night. Please pray for his wife and family."
Bentley shared a photo of himself with Bironas, who was actively involved in Nashville-based country music fundraisers and events, and in the accompanying caption, wrote, "i don't know anyone that didn't like rob bironas. lot of heavy hearts in nashville today. prayers for his family", while Brooks stated, "So sad - lost good buddy@RobBironas last night - heartbroken for dear friend @RachelTBradshaw - he was a great guy - and an amazing talent."
Charlie Daniels, Jerrod Niemann, John Rich, The Oak Ridge Boys and Rascal Flatts' Joe Don Rooney are also among the stars who have paid tribute to the tragic sportsman.
Bironas signed with the Tennessee Titans in 2005 and remained with the team for nine seasons, during which he became the fourth most accurate kicker in National Football League (NFL) history. He was released by the Titans in March (14) and had trained during the off-season with the Detroit Lions and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Bironas wed Rachel Bradshaw, the daughter of Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw, in June (14).
Taylor Swift has broken her ex-boyfriends' hearts all over again by revealing she wasn't in love with any of them.
The singer, who lists Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Joe Jonas among her past flames, tells the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine that she never thought she'd have a lasting romance with her famous exes. She says, "(It wasn't) real love. Not the kind that lasts. I think that's still ahead of me, which is really exciting."
And, opening up about her much-publicised dating life, the Love Story hitmaker admits she was too idealistic as she entered into her past romances, adding, "I used to go into them thinking, 'Maybe this is the one, we'll get married and have a family; this could be forever'. Whereas now I go in thinking, 'How long do we have on the clock before something comes along and puts a wrench in it, or your publicist calls and says this isn't a good idea?'"

Actors including Catherine Keener, Elle Fanning and Bobby Cannavale took to the stage for a one-act play as part of the Opening Ceremony brand's New York Fashion Week runway show on Sunday (07Sep14). The fashion house's founders and creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon showcased their spring 2015 collection at a unique venue and invited celebrities and style mavens alike to the iconic Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center.
Guests were escorted through the back of the theatre and ushered to their seats, which were placed on the same stage as the performers in the hour-long play starring Fanning, who was making her stage debut, Keener, Cannavale, Alia Shawkat, John Cameron Mitchell, Rashida Jones, and models Dree Hemingway and Karlie Kloss.
Titled 100% Lost Cotton, the production featured model characters played by Fanning and Hemingway waiting for a fitting at an Opening Ceremony runway show. Mitchell and Keener played versions of designers Lim and Leon, while Cannavale served as a stylist secretly in love with Leon's husband.
100% Lost Cotton was written by filmmaker Spike Jonze and actor Jonah Hill, who jokingly reminded the audience before the show began that it was his first foray into the theatre.
Among the guests checking out the one-of-a-kind runway show was Fanning's older sister Dakota, Yoko Ono, Rosario Dawson, Chloe Sevigny, Skrillex, Joe Jonas, Alexa Chung, Mindy Kaling and Arcade Fire's Win Butler.
Blues legend Johnny Winter's final album will be a star-studded affair featuring famous friends including Eric Clapton, Ben Harper, Billy Gibbons, Dr. John and Joe Perry. His longtime bandmate Paul Nelson has produced the record, which also features Joe Bonamassa and Brian Setzer, and ZZ Top star Gibbons admits it was a dream come true to work with his idol.
He tells WENN, "I never had the opportunity to jam with him (and so) I was content to remain in awe and admiration."
Aerosmith star Perry adds, "If it was not for Johnny Winter, I would have never picked up the guitar."
Highlights of the album include Perry and Winter's collaboration on Lightnin' Hopkins' Mojo Hand, and Winter's cover of Bobby 'Blue' Bland's Don't Want No Woman with Clapton.
