The characters from smash-hit Disney movie Frozen are heading back to the big screen for an animated short that will hit cinemas in the spring (15).
The big news was announced at the end of a 'making of' special that aired in America on Tuesday night (02Sep14).
Frozen Fever will be directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the pair behind last year's (13) hit movie, and it will feature a new song written by Oscar-winning songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The married couple created instant classic songs like Do You Want to Build a Snowman? and Let It Go for Frozen.
Confirming the news, a Disney spokesman says, "In Frozen Fever, it’s Anna’s birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa’s icy powers may put more than just the party at risk."
Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad will reprise their original Frozen roles in the new film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Newlywed Angelina Jolie has debuted photos of her surprise nuptials to Brad Pitt, revealing she wore a designer wedding gown featuring artwork by their six children. The Hollywood couple tied the knot during an intimate, secret ceremony at its Chateau Miraval estate in Correns, France on 23 August (14), and made the event a family affair.
In the first images of the ceremony, released to America's People magazine, the Tomb Raider beauty is shown wearing a flowing Atelier Versace wedding gown, designed by the brand's master tailor Luigi Massi.
And Massi helped created a special accessory for Jolie, as her veil was covered with colourful drawings by their kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.
Gushing about Massi's work to the publication, she says, "Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress. He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together."
As for Pitt, he decided to wear a suit from his closet, complete with a tie borrowed from one of his sons, since the actor forgot to pack his own.
The kids were also involved in the ceremony, with Maddox and Pax walking Jolie down the aisle, Shiloh and Knox serving as ring bearers, and Zahara and Vivienne playing the roles of flower girls.
Jolie and Pitt add, "It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family."
Another picture features the entire Jolie-Pitt clan sitting on steps at the estate as they pose in the formal wear for a family portrait, while a photo published in Hello! Magazine shows the couple's first kiss, as the two happily lock lips after exchanging vows.
Jolie and Pitt began dating in 2005 after meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith and became engaged in 2012.
It is Pitt's second marriage following his divorce from actress Jennifer Aniston in 2005. Jolie was previously wed to actors Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.

Actor and funnyman Mike Epps has been confirmed as the lead in director Lee Daniels' upcoming Richard Pryor biopic. Rapper/actor Nick Cannon was previously linked to the title role, but on Sunday (24Aug14) moviemaker Daniels posted a picture of himself, Oprah Winfrey and Epps on Instagram.com captioned, "and we're off... Get ready y'all for #richardpryor @eppsie @oprah."
The untitled project has been in the works since 2009, with actor Forest Whitaker attached to help bring Pryor's life story to the big screen. He signed on to write the script and also produce the film in March (14), although it is not known if he is still linked to the movie.
Adam Sandler and director Bill Condon were also previously involved in the project before it was shelved in 2011.
Meanwhile, Richard Pryor, Jr. has sent a cease and desist letter to the comedian's widow Jennifer Lee Pryor, who is contributing to the film biopic, urging her to stop work on the project amid a dispute over rights.
Pryor, 65, died in 2005 after suffering a heart attack. He spent years battling multiple sclerosis prior to his death.
Frozen writer/director Jennifer Lee is set to develop a big screen adaptation of science fantasy novel A Wrinkle In Time. The Oscar winner will write the script for the Disney film, which will be based on Madeleine L'Engle's 1962 book, about a group of children who travel back in time to find their missing scientist father.
The project has been in development since 2010, when Bridge to Terabithia writer Jeff Stockwell was hired to pen the script.
A director has yet to be chosen for the film, according to Variety.com.

Richard Pryor's son has threatened legal action in a bid to block production on Lee Daniels' new movie about the famous funnyman.

In the letter, obtained by TMZ.com, the star's son accuses his stepmother of using "illegal, fraudulent" activity to obtain the rights to her husband's name.
He is also reportedly threatening to take legal action if the biopic moves forward. Rapper/actor Nick Cannon has been linked to the lead role in the movie.

Frozen writer/director Jennifer Lee will have quite a task on her hands if she wants to recruit Josh Gad for the stage version of her hit movie - he insists he'll only return to Broadway for something truly special. Lee has made it clear she wants Gad, who was the break-out star of The Book of Mormon and picked up a Tony Award nomination for his role, to reprise his animated part as singing snowman Olaf onstage, but the actor insists that's not part of his immediate future.
He tells WENN, "How do you follow up Book of Mormon? I never expected it to become what it became, and it changed my life. It has become such a pop cultural touchstone that inevitably anything I do to follow it up will be a failure in comparison!
"At least from a commercial standpoint it would fail, so it's about artistically what do I want to do onstage and I don't know what that is yet. Mormon just opened up so many doors and it made me, in a weird way, a household name... It was a game changer.
"I get called a lot to come back to theatre but it just has to be the right thing. I haven't quite found that yet. It may be an original thing or a revival so we'll see."
Frozen writer/director Jennifer Lee is keen to recruit Josh Gad for her Broadway-bound musical adaptation of the hit animated film. Gad voiced singing snowman Olaf in the film and Lee wants him to reprise the character onstage.
The director tells People.com, "We need to all encourage him to get into a giant snowman suit to get comfortable."
Gad is no stranger to the stage - he was the break-out star of The Book of Mormon, and picked up a Tony Award nomination for his role.
