We knew Amanda Seyfried could belt a number after watching Les Miserables, but we've now learned that not all of her skills are quite so classy, thanks to the new trailer for the upcoming porn star movie Lovelace.
The U.K. trailer for the Linda Lovelace biopic, directed by Howl's Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, not only follows Lovelace's ascension to porn-stardom with the 1972 release of her hardcore porno Deep Throat, but also delves into the threatening story behind the orgasms: namely her coercive husband, Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard), who forced her into the porno industry.
With a thumping beat, the trailer kicks off with Lovelace (Seyfried) in a retro. A bold red hat seated atop of a head full of curly brown locks, the actress gushes over her erotic flicks: "To me, it's a movie, like any other movie. Only it has so many better things in it… like me." Then the trailer launches into tons of cameras flashing, booty shaking, and lots and lots of... well, figure it out. But it does reveal a darker tone as the severe relationship between Lovelace and her abusive husband unfolds.
Watch Amanda Seyfried bare it all as she stars in Lovelace when it flashes into theaters August 9th.

Lovelace, which features the Mamma Mia! beauty as the adult actress-turned-anti-porn advocate, premiered at the Utah independent movie event on Tuesday (22Jan13) and was warmly received by critics.
A reviewer for the Hollywood Reporter described it as "surprisingly good on several fronts", while a Screen International writer applauded directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman for making the film "both breezy and weighty at the same time".
Lovelace, which chronicles the complex relationship between the Deep Throat star and her manager/husband Chuck Traynor - portrayed by Peter Sarsgaard, was promptly snapped up by The Weinstein Company's RADiUS-TWC division and will now be released in America this autumn (13).
Other popular picks at Sundance include Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut Don Jon's Addiction and Daniel Radcliffe's new film Kill Your Darlings, in which he portrays beat poet Allen Ginsberg.
Lovelace is the first of two new biopics about the former porn icon - actress Malin Akerman is also portraying her in rival project Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story, although that film has stalled due to financing issues.
Recent days have been substantially traumatic for Demi Moore, who was hospitalized after a drug overdose, then checked into rehab and dropped out of the developing Linda Lovelace biopic Lovelace. Here's wishing that Moore's recovery is as speedy as the film's casting process: they have already found a replacement for the actress, who was set to play feminist activist Gloria Steinem. Mary Louise Parker, best known as the star of Weeds, has accepted the part.
It was reported recently that Chloe Sevigny might be taking Moore's role, but Parker is now confirmed to be portraying Steinem. Parker's role in the film will be a small one; Lovelace is expected to feature several cameos of present day stars playing adult entertainment industry icons of past. For instance, James Franco will be delivering a brief performance as Hugh Hefner.
The main cast features Amanda Seyfried as the focus of the film, with Peter Sarsgaard playing her abusive husband Chuck Traynor. Additionally, Sharon Stone, Adam Brody, Hank Azaria, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth and Robert Patrick are on board.
Throughout film history, there have always been instances when two strikingly similar movies are made around the same time. Armageddon and Deep Impact. The Prestige and The Illusionist. This year's Snow White and the Huntsman and Mirror Mirror. And, of course, the pair of developing Linda Lovelace biopics: Lovelace and Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story.
We recently heard that Lovelace was pulling in a handful of interesting actors and actresses (stars include Amanda Seyfried leading a cast including Sharon Stone, Peter Sarsgaard, Adam Brody and Hank Azaria). Now, Inferno is making its rounds in the casting scene. Already cast are Malin Akerman as Lovelace and Matt Dillon as her abusive husband Chuck Traynor, plus Paz de La Huerta. And newcomers to the cast are a plenty.
Adam Goldberg is joining Inferno as Harold Reems, who was Lovelace's costar in the infamous 1972 pornographic film Deep Throat. Also on board are Sasha Grey, herself a former pornographic actress, the film's producer Carlucci Weyant, and LOST's leading player in the art of name-screaming, Harold Perrineau, who will play Sammy Davis, Jr.
Between Lovelace and Inferno, there's really a pretty impressive list of actors looking to get involved with the depiction of Linda Lovelace's story. Inferno is derived from Lovelace's 1980 memoir Ordeal: An Autobiography.
The Mamma Mia! star has replaced Kate Hudson as the adult actress-turned-anti-porn activist in the upcoming movie, opposite Peter Sarsgaard as Lovelace's husband Chuck Traynor.
Seyfried is "really excited" about the shoot, but admits she does have a few reservations.
She tells ABC News, "It's going to be really hard and kind of terrifying at the same time. I do have some liberties there but I am playing someone that existed in history and had quite an established reputation for something very extreme.
"She was such a different person than what we expect. It's a good story to tell, and I'm really, really excited about it."
