Country couple Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks will host the inaugural ACM Lifting Lives fundraising gala in April (15). The event, which is scheduled just two days before the 50th annual ACM Awards, will take place simultaneously at the Omni Dallas Hotel and the Fort Worth Zoo in Texas.
Brooks and Yearwood will alternate between both locations throughout the evening to entertain attendees, while Lady Antebellum will headline festivities at the Omni Dallas Hotel and Keith Urban and Little Big Town will perform at the Fort Worth event.
Funds raised at the bash will be donated to several Texas-based charities, including Brooks' favourite cause, Teammates for Kids.
The 50th annual ACM Awards, which will be co-hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on 19 April (15).
Country duo Florida Georgia Line have scored their first U.S. number one album.
Anything Goes has debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 countdown with 197,000 first-week sales. The album is the pair's follow-up to Here's To the Good Times, which was released in 2012 and reached number four on the chart. It becomes the third consecutive country release to debut at number one following the success of Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean's albums earlier this month (Oct14).
Meanwhile, veteran rocker Bob Seger has landed his highest debut ever as Ride Out enters the chart at three, behind Aldean, and Pink's new project You+Me debut at four with their first album, Rose Ave. The duo comprises of Pink and City & Colour star Dallas Green. Albums from rappers The Game and Hoodie Allen, U2 and Jessie J also enter the new chart top 10. Meanwhile, Meghan Trainor extends her run at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 pop chart to seven weeks. All About That Bass also leads a record-extending seventh week of girl power - all five of the top five tracks are hits by women - Taylor Swift's Shake It Off stays put at two for a seventh week, while Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's Bang Bang returns to the top three at three and Iggy Azalea's Black Widow and Tove Lo's Habits (Stay High) round out the top tier. And ailing country star Glen Campbell returns to the Hot 100 for the first time in 33 years with his final single I'm Not Gonna Miss You, which debuts at 90. The Rhinestone Cowboy singer, who was forced to retire due to the ravages of Alzheimer's disease, last appeared on the countdown in September, 1981 with I Love My Truck.

Nearly 10 years after meeting on the set of 2005's romantic spy thriller Mr. and Ms. Smith, Hollywood's foremost power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are set to team up once again. The duo is set to appear in a film written by Jolie herself, though it is still unkown whether she will also be directing the project. Jolie has written the war drama In the Land of Blood and Honey, and recently helmmed the WWII drama Unbroken, which is scheduled to be released this year.
While Brangelina is still the most prolific coupling in Hollywood, there's steady competition ready to take their crown. Other married Hollywood couples have proved to be just a successful over the years. So which romantic duo has had the most post-nuptial success, and which couples should have steered clear from the altar for the sake of their careers?
Brad Pitt and Angelina JolieTogether Since: 2005Post-Marriage Success: While they were successful apart, the union of these two Hollywood heavyweights has bolstered both of their careers. Since getting together with Jolie, Pitt silenced doubters with staring roles in Inglorious Basterds, The Assassination of Jesse James, Moneyball and the zombie blockbuster World War Z, and capped off the casino caper trilogy Ocean's Thirteen. Additionally, he has produced the Academy Award winner 12 Years a Slave. Jolie has also had a prosperous career since marriage, starring in films like Salt, Changeling, Kung Fu Panda, and the upcoming Maleficent.
Jennifer Garner and Ben AffleckTogether Since: 2005Post-Marriage Success: After about a decade of jeering due to a string of failures like Gigli and Daredevil, Ben Affleck has had nothing short of a career renaissance, showing his true skills lay in directing. Affleck directed a trio of well-received thrillers, Gone Baby Gone, The Town, and Argo, that won heaps of critical praise, netting the director his first Oscar for directing. Jennifer Garner, on the other hand, has cooled off career-wise since her marriage to Ben, starring in forgettable fodder like Ghosts of Girlfriend's Past, The Invention of Lying, and Arthur. She did have a prominent role in Dallas Buyers Club that won her critical praise and very mild awards buzz.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake LivelyTogether Since: 2012Post-Marriage Success: Despite his charm and leading man looks, Ryan's career struggles have followed him into married life. The actor has floundered in gargantuan summertime flops like The Change-up and Green Lantern, with last year's R.I.P.D. being his latest blockbuster misfire. Blake Lively has been mostly quiet since getting hitched. She starred in the forgettable crime-film, Savages and her star-making television show, Gossip Girl, wrapped up it's run.
Javier Bardem and Penelope CruzTogether Since: 2010Post-Marriage Success: Post-marriage and post No Country for Old Men, life has been good for Bardem. The actor won raves for his role in Biutiful, and played the best Bond villain in recent memory in Skyfall. Penelope Cruz has been no slouch either. The actress reunited with Woody Allen in To Rome with Love, and co-starred with her husband in The Counselor, though were still not sure what to think of Ridley Scott's latest.
Daniel Craig and Rachel WeiszTogether Since: 2011Post-Marriage Success: Craig's star power is as strong as ever. The actor's brutish and vulnerable version of Agent 007 continues to give the Bond saga a renewed sense of urgency. Beyond spying, Craig also put in great work into David Fincher's Girl with the Dragon Tatoo. Rachel Weisz on the other hand, has had a mixed couple of years since 2011. she starred in the acclaimed spy mini-series Page Eight, but also in the largely forgettable Borne quasi-reboot, The Borne Legacy. She was also in Disney's Oz the Great and Powerful, a film that failed to capture the magic of the original.
Chris Pratt and Anna FarisTogether Since: 2009Post-Marriage Success: It's hard to think of anyone in Hollywood that's had a more diverse couple of years than Chris Pratt. The actor went from playing schlubby goof ball Andy Dwyer on NBC's Parks and Recreation to playing a fit baseball player in Moneyball and a gung-ho Navy Seal in Zero Dark Thirty. He also appeared in Spike Jonze's fantastic Her and had the starring role in The Lego Movie. Finally, the actor is set to star in the upcoming blockbusters Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World. Wife, Anna Faris hasn't enjoyed the same insane career trajectory, but who can blame her. Since 2009, she has stared in The Dictator, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked, and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-SmithTogether Since: 1997Post-Marriage Success: Smith's reign as the king of summer was still in full effect in back in 1997. The actor closed out the 90's with films like Men in Black, Enemy of the State, and Wild Wild West, all Box-office hits. Since then however, the actor has been pretty hit or miss. For every Bad Boys II or Hitch, we'd get a Seven Pounds or Hancock. As strange as it is to say, Jada arguably had a better 2000's than her husband. She starred in the two Matrix sequels, the Madagascar films, and the Tom Cruise actioner, Collateral. Recently however, both seem more interested in creating careers for their children, rather than improving the state of their own careers.
Next year's (15) Academy of Country Music Awards is already a sell-out just 10 days after the latest ceremony. Country music fans have flocked to get their hands on tickets for the 50th annual show, which will be held for the first time at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
All available seats for the prizegiving and related events sold out in just 18 minutes when they went on sale on Wednesday (16Apr14).
Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, who announced the news of the new venue at the ACMs on 6 April (14), will return to co-host the 2015 ACM Awards.
Twilight star Kristen Stewart has been named as the new face of luxury design house Chanel. The actress has been hired to model the French brand's latest fashion line and the news was announced during the company's star-studded Metiers D'Art Paris-Dallas runway show in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday (10Dec13).
Stewart's advertising campaign will be photographed by Chanel's style guru Karl Lagerfeld and will be released in May, 2014.
She follows in the footsteps of other Chanel ambassadors including Keira Knightley, Brad Pitt, Blake Lively and Vanessa Paradis.
The man who wrote Luke Bryan's maligned new song That's My Kind Of Night has hit back at Zac Brown over his radio remarks about the tune. Brown sparked a new war of words in country music when he called Bryan's single the "worst song" he's ever heard, adding it makes him want to "throw up" every time he hears it.
Justin Moore and Jason Aldean have both jumped to Bryan's defence, and now Dallas Davidson, one of the three songwriters behind the tune has broken his silence about the furore.
Davidson, who also co-wrote Blake Shelton's Boys 'Round Here and Lady Antebellum's Just a Kiss, among other hits, reveals Bryan actually called him to let him know what Brown had said during a radio chat.
He tells Roughstock.com, "The first thing I did was sit there and soak it in. A comment like that will hurt your feelings because when you write a song, it's kind of like one of your babies. To hear a successful artist say it was the worst song he's heard and it makes him want to throw up, that's just not cool."
Davidson adds, "We write about what we know about. What I know about is sitting on a tailgate drinking a beer. Hell, I live on the river. When Luke called me to tell me about what happened, I was literally smoking Boston butts on my homemade cooker at my 800 square foot river house with about four of my buddies with their trucks backed up, sitting on a tailgate."
The songwriter insists he won't be getting involved in a rap-style diss with Brown, adding, "My mom always told me if you don't have nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all. That's true.
"I think social media... has really changed this whole generation where it's OK to be mean, and it's OK to talk bad about people. When I grew up, you didn't do that."
But he jokes, "If that song makes him want to throw up, I hope I write one today that gives him the flu because that means I'm doing my job right."
The world of country came together for one of several nights honoring their top talent for the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards. Hosted by The Voice's Blake Shelton and the two-first-named Luke Bryan, the night belonged to Shelton's wife, Miranda Lambert, and group Little Big Town. Taking home trophies for Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Single Record of the Year, Lambert proved herself the toast of Nashville with her track "Only You."
Other big winners included Eric Church and Jason Aldean, and featured performances by an increasingly-varied roster of artists from across the spectrum — including John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, and Kelly Clarkson. Also came the announcement that the Artist of the Decade award would be renamed to honor the show's former producer, Dick Clark.

For every M*A*S*H, there are three That '70s Shows. A general rule to live by, yes, but it takes particular relevance in the wake of Chevy Chase's announcement that he will be departing from NBC's cult phenomenon Community. The news broke last Wednesday that Chase would be departing from his position on the show, effective immediately. Considering how much of the upcoming fourth season has already been filmed, this will only leave viewers with one or two episodes devoid of Chase. However, if the show does get picked up for a fifth turn, we will be seeing Greendale without Pierce Hawthorne. Since the Season 4 finale has already been filmed, Pierce's exit will have to be written into the beginning of the fifth year, unless they just plan on ignoring it.
And so, we're called to revisit the maxim of M*A*S*H vs. That '70s Show. The iconic Korean War black comedy is notable for having lost a handful of its original players along the course of its 11-year run (Trapper, Burns, Radar, Lt. Blake) filling the gaps with aplomb. The 1970s sendup, however, lost the likes of stars Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher before its final season, tumbling in quality with desperate attempts to keep the show up and kicking. In this respect, That '70s Show has a great deal more peers than M*A*S*H, which can really only call the likes of Cheers its company. Sitcoms rarely fare well following the loss of major characters — look at the pitiful later years of greats like Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley; it's almost never done well. Of course, Community is savvy to the nuts and bolts of the television formula. It might well offer a satirical and analytical take on the ejection of one of its cast members. But following however this plays out, we'll be back into the swing of the group's day-to-day, only without one of the seven severely flawed figures to whose journeys we have adhered since the pilot.
PHOTOS: 19 Most Famous TV Exits Granted, Pierce might be an easy character of which to let go for many. Ever since Pierce's "evil breakout" in the stellar Season 2 episode "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons," Internet message boards have been swarmed with hatred for the insecure, often malicious figure. As time went on, Pierce got worse — his dishonesty, manipulation, and bigotry were amped up systematically, bolstering the hate of many a Community fan. A good portion of the viewing base, however, remained intrigued by Pierce, understanding that his flaws were what made him a captivating and complex character. But even those who stayed true to Pierce were likely to side against Chevy once the behind-the-scenes controversies began: Chase's badmouthing of the show and of creator Dan Harmon (to which Harmon himself retaliated) contributed to the increasing opposition of the actor, and pushed many to believe the show might be better off without him altogether. And now, the anti-Chase camp gets its wish. Chevy will be bidding farewell to Community, and Pierce to Greendale. But the remaining Pierce apologists will feel this is a burn. Yes, Chase might have evoked some problems offscreen, and yes, Pierce might not have been an ideal citizen or friend. But his character was an important component to the entity formed, invariably, by the seven college students who banded together when the world gave them no place else to turn. The show is about the union of these flawed, lost souls — it's about each one of their journeys toward self-betterment. It is about, not to be hokey, the very idea of a community: an organism that can only exist when others unite to form it. When Pierce steps out of the group for whatever assortment of episodes we'll see following Chase's leave, the community will cease to be. Yes, the remaining group members will stay in tact, but the very idea that this unlikely community was untenable — the idea on which the show was founded — would be forever marred. But all that is said and done: Pierce is leaving, and we'll have to deal with that. So, if the show does get a Season 5, its arrival will be predated by this question: how will they write him out? Communityis notoriously dark, but would killing off a major character really fall in its jurisdiction? Could setting Pierce to rest in a dramatic Season 5 premiere be the best way to remove him without malice, allowing all of the other six group members to grieve and embrace their love and appreciation for their tortured friend?
PHOTOS: TV's Most Moving Deaths If the show goes about the removal of Pierce otherwise, it might make for awkward storytelling. The, "Well, he's already gone!" without so much as a proper goodbye (as said above, the Season 4 finale has already been filmed, complete with Chase) could translate quite clumsily. "Well, Pierce just set sail on his yacht for Andorra!", "Well, Pierce's wedding to that Tuvaluan princess sure was great!", "Well, nobody remembers where Pierce is... I hope he finds his way back soon!" Of course, we have faith that Communitywould handle the affair more delicately and intelligently than any of these, but concerns still stand. A Community without Pierce will be incomplete, plain and simple. The very idea of fissures in the group detracts from the greater message of the program: these people are, and are meant to be, together. They're a family, a support group, a community. In the words of a wise young girl, "If one piece busts, the whole thing will get busted." It's only a matter of time before this is realized by fans and producers alike. Remembering Larry Hagman, ‘Dallas’ Star Dead at 81
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians regular moved to the city last year (11) when her husband, basketball star Lamar Odom, was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks and she found herself taking cover on Tuesday afternoon as the skies began to cloud over.
Two separate tornadoes barrelled through the Dallas and Fort Worth areas, prompting officials at the National Weather Service to issue emergency warnings.
In a series of Twitter.com posts, she wrote, "OMG (oh my God) another tornado!!!! What??? Its (sic) so crazy!
"Born and raised in Cali... Tornado's (sic) are very new to me... 3 inch hail storms...... Ummmmmm"
Other stars took to Twitter to warn fans of the looming danger.
Rapper/actor Xzibit tweeted, "Prayers going up for everyone in #Dallas. Take cover and be safe. #tornado just touched down", while country singer Blake Shelton stated, "Whoa!!! Dallas!! Look out!"
The tornadoes have caused serious damage to buildings across the state, although no deaths had been reported as WENN went to press.
Live TV footage has shown tractor trailers, vehicles and all manner of items whipped up into the air by the storms.
