Kim Kardashian's best friends appear to have been caught out by the latest change of venue for Saturday's wedding (24May14) - they have all been fitted for gowns inspired by French queen Marie Antoinette.
Michael Costello tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood he was asked to outfit six of Kardashian's pals for the socialite's third trip up the aisle, which reports suggest is now taking place in Florence, Italy after the reality TV star and rapper Kanye West failed to meet residency criteria to exchange their vows in Versailles, France.
He reveals Brittny Gastineau, Larsa Pippen, Blac Chyna and Carla Dibello all came to him for help, requesting Marie Antoinette-inspired gowns. Costello says, "They all wanted little elements of something very Gothic, romantic, masquerade-like. They were all stern about using lace... and having mermaid bottoms."
He also admits Gastineau, Pippen and Blac Chyna have two outfits prepared for the weekend celebrations, which will begin with a cocktail party in France on Friday night (23May14). And the designer reveals he'll be working with the bride herself when she returns from her honeymoon, adding, "I did make some sketches for her for another event that we're talking about in the future."
Kim Kardashian celebrated her upcoming wedding to Kanye West with a lavish bridal shower in Beverly Hills on Saturday (10May14). Among the guests at the Peninsula Hotel were sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, mum Kris Jenner, singer Ciara, reality TV star Larsa Pippen and socialite Brittny Gastineau.
According to reports, the Paris-themed affair had been set to take place at the Beverly Hills Hotel, but Kardashian decided to boycott the venue in protest after its owner, Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, implemented a law in his country that includes the stoning to death of gay people.
She joins the likes of Ellen DeGeneres, Jay Leno, and Sharon Osbourne, who have all vowed to steer clear of his hotel chain until the law is reversed.
The couple began dating at the beginning of last year (12), and the U.S. athlete's relationship with Rossee heated up just before he jetted off to the London Summer Olympic Games in July (12), when the pretty blonde was spotted cheering him on.
But both stars are now set for a fresh start in the New Year after deciding to part ways, according to TMZ.com.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star teamed up with toy supplier HobbyTron to hand out games to youngsters at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.

And Brittny has revealed the ops to remove cancerous cells in October (09) left her glamorous mum feeling "ugly", so she put her beauty in the hands of Hollywood surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan, who cosmetically overhauled fellow reality TV star Heidi Montag earlier this year (10).
Gastinaeu tells New York gossip column Page Six, "She underwent two surgeries in October... When she was stitched up, it pulled her nose to the left - so she felt deformed and ugly. But a few days ago, Dr. Frank Ryan fixed her nose, and she is recovering well.
"My mom is my best friend. I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to her. I want to spread the message that people should check their skin carefully and stay out of the sun. We had a sun bed at home, and we'd use it all the time, and look what happened. It's really scary."
