Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have finalised their divorce, three years after their headline-grabbing split. The Latin superstars parted ways in 2011 after seven years of marriage, and Anthony moved to make their separation official by filing legal papers in April, 2012.
The union was officially declared over on Monday (16Jun14), when a Los Angeles judge signed off on their divorce and custody agreement.
Lopez was given primary custody of their six-year-old twins Max and Emme, while Anthony will spend seven days a month with the kids. They will share joint legal custody.
However, there were strict rules about the children's care - their nannies must accompany Max and Emme when they stay with their dad, and both stars must use their "best efforts" to keep the youngsters out of the public eye and shield them from "aggressive news organizations and photographers", reports TMZ.com.
The former couple also agreed there was no need for spousal or child support. Anthony had previously handed over $18,000 (£11,250)-a-month for their twins.
The amicable settlement is good news for Anthony, who was last week (ends13Jun14) ordered to increase his child support payments to his second ex-wife, Dayanara Torres, to $26,000 (£15,356)-a-month for the ongoing care of their two sons.
Meanwhile, the divorce will give Lopez a fresh start following her recent break-up from her dancer boyfriend Casper Smart.
Marc Anthony has settled his court battle with ex-wife Dayanara Torres after he was ordered to pay $26,000 (£15,356)-a-month in child support fees. The I Need To Know hitmaker's long battle legal came to an end on Thursday (12Jun14) when a Los Angeles County court judge ruled that he must provide support for his two sons, Christian Anthony Muniz and Ryan Anthony Muniz, according to E! News.
Former Miss Universe Torres had been fighting for an increase in her monthly payments after claiming his salary had jumped dramatically since they settled their divorce and custody issues in 2004.
In addition to Torres' child support requests, she also asked for an estimated $4,000 (£2,362) to $7,000 (£4,133) in order to pay for a nanny and housekeeper.
Anthony also pays his third ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, $18,000 (£11,250)-a-month for their twins Max and Emme.
Salsa star Marc Anthony has been ordered to submit a full record of his accounts as he continues to battle his ex-wife Dayanara Torres over child support. Former Miss Universe Torres has been fighting for an increase in her monthly payments for their young sons Cristian and Ryan after claiming his salary had jumped dramatically since they settled their divorce and custody issues in 2004.
She is seeking to boost her regular $13,000 (£8,125) instalments to $112,000 (£70,000), but Anthony has been challenging her request, insisting he pays her more than enough to afford a comfortable home and lifestyle. He has blamed her poor money management for her financial struggles.
The case went before a Los Angeles County court judge on Thursday (01May14), when Torres accused Anthony of hiding his fortune to avoid paying her more.
Anthony maintained her monthly funds are more than adequate for their boys and argued any more would "spoil them rotten".
However, the judge refused to let Anthony off the hook and ruled he must submit a full accounting of his income and expenses by Tuesday morning (06May14), reports TMZ.com.
The singer previously revealed in legal documents that he earns a massive $1.25 million (£781,250)-a-month and also pays his third ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, $18,000 (£11,250)-a-month for their twins Max and Emme.
Singer Marc Anthony is fighting back against his ex-wife's demand for an increase in her monthly child support payments, despite revealing he earns a massive $1.25 million (£781,250) a month. Former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres filed court papers in November (13), demanding Anthony boost her regular $13,000 (£8,125) instalments to $112,000 (£70,000) as his salary had changed dramatically since they settled their divorce and custody issues in 2004.
She claimed the lack of adequate funds meant she had to sell her previous home and move with their young sons Cristian and Ryan into a cramped apartment in the San Fernando Valley in California, instead of live in luxury like his twins with Jennifer Lopez do.
However, the salsa star has hit back, insisting Torres is to blame for her own financial issues as she has allegedly failed to manage her funds properly.
In the legal documents, Anthony reveals he pays Torres a total of $28,416 (£17,760)-a-month for spousal and child support, which should be more than enough to pay for a comfortable home.
The court papers required the singer to detail his monthly salary, which he listed as $1.25 million, while he also claimed he is worth $20.8 million (£13 million), according to TMZ.com.
Anthony, who makes millions from touring, his clothing line with U.S. department store Kohl's, and his stake in the Miami Dolphins American football franchise, also detailed his child support expenses for his kids with Lopez, which amount to $18,000 (£11,250)-a-month.
He wed Lopez shortly after his divorce from Torres was finalised in 2004, but the superstar couple split in 2011.
Marc Anthony's ex-wife Dayanara Torres is demanding the Latin superstar increase his monthly child support payments from $13,000 (£8,670) to $112,000 (£74,670), according to a U.S. report. The former Miss Universe claims Anthony's salary has soared since they settled their 2004 divorce and custody over their two sons, Cristian, 12, and Ryan, 10, and she is preparing to fight for more money in court this week (begs25Nov13).
However, the salsa singer's lawyer, Daniel Jaffe, insists his client has paid more than his fair share to ensure the boys are well taken care of, in addition to $3,500 (£2,330) in spousal support.
Jaffe tells the New York Post, "Marc has paid every penny, well over $13,000 a month. (He) has paid for all of the kids' schooling, band lessons, camps, and all medical and dental costs. Virtually everything."
Anthony, who makes millions from touring, his clothing line with U.S. department store Kohl's, and his stake in the Miami Dolphins American football franchise, is planning to fight Torres' request.
The singer wed Jennifer Lopez just a week after his four-year union to second wife Torres was officially declared over, but Anthony's third marriage fell apart in 2012. He has since been romantically linked to Chloe Green, the daughter of Topshop founder Sir Philip Green.
The actress/singer wed Anthony in June 2004 and they welcomed twins Max and Emme in February, 2008 - the same year they renewed their vows.
They reaffirmed their love for one another once more last year (10) to mark their sixth anniversary on 5 June.
A statement issued to UsMagazine.com reads: "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters.
"It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."
Anthony was noticeably absent from Lopez's side when she attended the BAFTA Brits To Watch event in Los Angeles last week (09Jul11) - instead, she took her mother Guadalupe to meet royal couple Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge.
News of the split is sure to put a dampener on Lopez's upcoming birthday - she turns 42 on 24 July (11).
It is American Idol host Lopez's third failed marriage. She was previously married to Ojani Noa and dancer Cris Judd.
Anthony's ex-wife is former Miss Universe, Dayanara Torres, the mother of his two sons Cristin, 10, and Ryan, seven.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have issued a statement to People magazine that announces they have decided to split up. The statement reads, "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have to come to an amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." The pair have been married since June of 2004 and have two children together, 3 year-old twins Max and Emme. Lopez was previously married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, and then she was married to backup dancer Chris Judd from 2001 to 2002. Anthony has also been married before -- from 2000 to 2002, he was married to Dayanara Torres, a former Miss Universe.
Marc Anthony's ex-wife Dayanara Torres has transformed her love life with fellow Puerto Rican Amaury Nolasco.
The couple appeared publicly together at the ALMA Awards and the MTV Movie Awards last month, but now friends claim they have become much more than friends.
Sources claim former Miss Universe Torres started dating the actor two months ago.
As well as appearing in TV hit Prison Break, Nolasco is among the stars of blockbuster Transformers.

Actor Terrence Howard has revealed he has been secretly dating former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres—the ex-wife of Jennifer Lopez's husband Marc Anthony.
The Hustle & Flow star began dating Torres earlier this year—just four months after his wife of 14 years Lori left him for her childhood sweetheart, a fate Torres suffered when Anthony left her for Lopez.
The couple kept the romance secret until Howard confessed all to reporters while picking up a Renaissance Artist Honor at the recent Diversification Awards in Hollywood, reports PageSix.com.
He explained, "She went through so much over Marc Anthony. I don't want her to have to have a secret."
Howard was later overheard calling Torres and telling her, "I just told a television reporter about us. I told the whole story. I love you."
