The Silence Of The Lambs star Scott Glenn has been cast as Matt Murdock's martial arts mentor Stick in a new Daredevil TV series. Marvel's Daredevil will premiere on Netflix in 2015 and Glenn will join Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson and Vincent D'Onofrio among the cast.
Marvel Studio's TV head Jeph Loeb says, "Stick is one of the most important figures in Matt Murdock's life and Scott Glenn embodies all the qualities of someone so integral to this hero's journey. There are few actors who could bring such the authenticity, gravitas and charisma to such a key role in Matt's journey to become the superhero we call Daredevil."
Blind Daredevil, aka Matt Murdock, was previously played on the big screen by Ben Affleck and portrayed by Cox in the new series.
Three upcoming TV series are hitting the streets of New York City today. Here's a closer look what you can expect from each show and where you can find them filming.
Marvel recently announced Daredevil will premiere on Netflix in May 2015, forcing fans to wait longer than they had anticipated to check it out.
The 13-episode series will follow the Marvel superhero Daredevil, a blind lawyer named Matt Murdock who fights for justice in the courtroom by day before transforming into a vigilante crimefighter by night. The new adaptation stars Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, and Rosario Dawson in an undisclosed role.
You can catch Daredevil filming at Murray and Church St in NYC right now.
The Mysteries of Laura
Debra Messing is back in NYC to star in this NBC series about a homicide detective who has to balance the pressures of work with the pressures of raising rambunctious twin boys as a single mom.
Today, The Mysteries of Laura is filming at 37th St and 5th Ave in New York.
This new CBS series stars Tea Leoni as the Secretary of State who is determined to get thing done, even if it means breaking a few rules. Like The Mysteries of Laura, the series also follows her character home where she has to contend with her husband and two teenage children.
Madam Secretary is filming at E 52nd and 3rd Ave in Manhattan today.

Actress Kristin Bauer Van Straten struggled to hold back the tears on Saturday (26Jul14) as she joined her True Blood castmates for their last appearance together at California's San Diego Comic-Con event. The hit vampire drama recently wrapped production on its seventh and final season, which is currently airing in the U.S., and the stars of the show, including Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin and Deborah Ann Woll, used their panel discussion to reminisce about their time on the series.
True Blood star Deborah Ann Woll has been cast as Daredevil's love interest in a new TV series based on the comic book superhero's adventures. Woll will portray Karen Page in the upcoming Marvel series, which will also feature Rosario Dawson and Vincent D'Onofrio.
Page was previously played by Ellen Pompeo on the big screen in 2003, opposite Ben Affleck's Daredevil.
The character was created by Stan Lee and made her debut in comic book form in 1964.
The new TV series will debut on Netflix next year (15).
Ironically, just like her new TV boyfriend Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Woll's real-life beau is battling blindness - E.J. Scott was diagnosed with choroideremia - a rare genetic disease that causes blindness - just after the couple fell in love.
Actor Luke Grimes is leaving True Blood after one season. The Taken 2 star, who joined the show in the sixth season, has unexpectedly decided to exit the drama, and his role as vampire James will be recast for the seventh season.
A representative for U.S. network HBO tells TVLine.com, "The role of James is being recast due to the creative direction of the character."
A source adds, "He initially joined the show because he wanted to work with (his Forever co-star) Deborah Ann Woll. But when he started reading the scripts for Season 7, he was disappointed to learn that they were going in a completely different direction with James."
Grimes will next appear as Christian Grey's brother in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.
It's so hard to meet someone new in a town where you already know everyone. Thank god for Internet dating. Now we can find hotties, regardless of where they live. Or whether they have ice water coursing through their veins.
Vampire Passions is not a wittily constructed dummy site for HBO's True Blood. It's a full-on, 100% free, online dating site for vamps and vamp chasers. Whether you're a blood vampire or a psychic vampire — and who hasn't dated one of those? — there is something for everyone. Looking for your Dark Angel? He appears to be on there. Searching for female companionship from a Twilight hater? Spotted one of those as well.
Or maybe you're more comfortable getting your fangs wet with a fellow fan of vampire film, television and literature. There are forums, blogs and a tab for "Videos & Fun Stuff." You can fill in the blanks on that one.
But if you're undeadly serious about this particular dating niche, you may want to sign up for this site in blood. You can prescreen your dates by Type A, Type B or Type O.
There's also a Bovine blood option, "for moral reasons." Moo to that.
Truebies, it's time to face the disturbing fact that there is only one more episode left of this season. As much as it's a downer to picture future dark, dark days absent of True Blood amazingness, we must try our best to put those horrible images aside as we get ready for the upcoming season six finale.
But before we get our blood pumping at the thought of next week's ill-fated, heart-breaking finale, let's go over some of the crazy shenanigans that seized the screen in this week's episode. And thankfully, the minds behind True Blood kept this episode plain and simple, focusing this episode on two main storylines: pairing Terry's heartfelt funeral with the contrasting chaos at vamp-camp. There was not much Warlow chaos and there was no unwanted werewolf/shifter drama. Phew!
First off, let's head on over to Bon Temps where townies gathered to celebrate the life of Terry Belfleur at his funeral.
Remembering TerryWe finally bid farewell to the much-loved Terry Bellfleur with a slew of eulogies that trigger a whole lot of flashbacks. Andy remembers when Terry first returned home from war and hid out at their childhood fort. Sam recalls an especially sentimental moment when Terry declared that "every life matters," even a mere catfish while out fishing. And Lafayette reveals how after he peered into Terry's soul, he became his french-fry, booty-popping mentor.
Right before Arlene shares her eulogy, Sookie jumps in and shares a memory of when she witnessed Terry fall in love with Arlene for the first time. Sook confesses to listening in to Terry's thoughts one evening at Merlott's and hearing his heart racing as he thought how being with Arlene "would make coming out of the woods not so bad." Aw!
And finally, it's Arlene's turn to remember her hubby, which prompts her to recall the day baby Mikey came into the world. In the midst of Arlene fussing about how Mikey's despises her and refuses to breastfeed, Terry comes to the rescue and consoles the now-weeping redhead by telling her how much this family meant to him. Ugh, we're going to miss that fellow.
Warlow Life UpdateAfter last week's episode left Warlow looking not so hot– thanks to Eric who almost drained him to the core–Sookie revives the guy with some of her lovely fairy blood. Phew! P.S. I'm starting to hear wedding bells for these two... Yes, Sookie finally told Warlow she intends to keep her promise and become his fairy-vampire bride!
Bye Bye Vamp-CampEric's hype on Warlow's blood with a mission to save vampire kind from extinction over at vamp-camp. Bill rolls up to vamp-camp ready to save the day and carry out his Lilith-sent mission. But, it's clear Eric's already on the job: not only is the hottie vampire freeing his fellow vampers, but he's also brutally ending every human life in sight at vamp-camp, including Dr. Overlark's… and why yes, he does rip off his penis. And yes, I will never look at a penis the same way, ever, ever again.
And Jason fans, don't fret, Eric not only saves our favorite piece of man-candy from the confines of vamp-camp, but also heals him and clues him in that "he's in for a treat." So, I guess we have some more gay wet dreams from Jason coming up. P.S. Just because Jason's free from vamp-camp, that doesn't mean he's free from Violet. Oh yes! He's still Violet's sexy little human playtoy.
Sarah Newlin is Saved… But Why?!While every doctor/ researcher who tortured away at vamp-camp gets savagely murdred, Sarah Newlin manages to sneak past and expose all our vampires in the white room to the sun. But right as Newlin squeals "Die F*ckers," she realizes that these vampers aren't quite ready to hit the grave for good. Bill has come to the rescue! Rejoice! He's shared a lil bit of his Warlow-ified blood with all his vamper friends. Can I get a hell yeah!?
But fortunately, one vampire can't seem to get a lick of Bill's blood and ends up shredding to pieces in the sunlight. Yes, truebies, we FINALLY get to say goodbye to the one, the only Steve Newlin… but not before he manages to scream out "I love you, Jason Stackhouse". And then I died of laughter for the rest of the episode.
Decked out in a white pantsuit, Sarah Newlin tries to flee from the daywalkin' vamp clan… but the bump-it aficionado can't seem to run fast enough. Jason gets a hold of the crazy chick and claims its his religious duty to kill Sarah. Yet, Jason can't manage to pull the trigger and is lame enough to let her go. I'm sorry, but ARE YOU DUMB? Okay, like I knew Jason was stupid, but who knew this hunk could get himself to this uptime level of dumb-assness. Really, really, stupid decision Jason. I don't think I'll ever forgive you for this one… Then again, if you take your shirt off, maybe I'll take it easy on you.
Reunited and It Feels So Eh After Eric gets ear that the psychiatrist f*cked Pam, he's enraged to say the least. But, I was a tad thankful, because it led to a much-needed bonding moment for Eric and Pam. It seemed that their maker-protege connection rekindled when Eric gushed to Pam how he saved the therapist for her to kill off and she lit up like a full-blown Christmas tree. But, no… their bonding sesh didn't last for long at all. Right as Pam begs Eric not to go AWOL once more, Eric jets right on off. Ugh. Why must you go?!
The End of Billith As We Know ItEveryone's high and happy on Bill's blood, dancing in the sunlight, having a good ole party, and smashing every laced True Blood bottle in sight. But, Bill's not feeling happy-go-lucky like the rest of his vamper pals. Three Lilith sirens appear before Bill sharing that his time on earth is over. Although I'm not a huge Billith fan, that doesn't mean I'm even nearly ready to say peace out to Bill.
But thankfully, James has the nifty plan to feed Bill more Warlowy blood. Aha! That does the trick. So, does this mean we have the real Bill back? As in the Bill we first fell in love with… or is Lilith still controlling the dude? Dun dun dun!

Edward 'E.J.' Scott has Choroideremia (CHM), a degenerative condition that eventually robs sufferers of their vision, and he is walking with the aid of a white cane.
Despite his health issues, he is tackling a marathon challenge in a bid to raise awareness of the disease, leaving Woll in awe of her partner's dedication.
She tells Men's Fitness magazine, "E.J.'s a big dreamer and most people who get big ideas have trouble following through. I know I do. But I learned very quickly that when E.J. puts his mind to something he achieves it. When he came up with the idea for the 12 consecutive marathons, I knew it would happen."
The outrageous fifth season of True Blood comes to a close this Sunday, and if there's anything to take away from this season, it's that... well, True Blood has certainly changed from the vampy, campy, self-aware show we became obsessed with back in 2008. And much like the show itself, some of the characters have turned into almost unrecognizable new versions from the ones we met back in Season 1.
Take, for instance, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll), who went from shy and sheltered to a sexy and super badass vampire. But True Blood's Jessica is hardly the only character in television history to drastically change over the course of a show. From Boy Meets World's Eric (Will Friedle)'s gradual descent from goofy older brother into utter mind-blowing stupidity to The Office's complete retooling of Kelly (Mindy Kaling) from demure office drone to fast-talking Valley Girl, we've done the digging on who's changed, and how.

The Office: Upcoming Ninth Season Will Be the Last
From the looks of two new clips from the upcoming episode of True Blood, the next hour of the series really seems to be focusing on the dichotomy between life and death. In the first clip, a pretty fateful message is delivered to leading vamp Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), and in a rather cavalier fashion, no less. The essence of death: imminent, unapologetic, and often brought on by an apathetic 20-year-old girl.
The second clip pays focus on the gift—or curse—of eternal life that comes with being a vampire. While some might lament this plague, Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll) can't seem to find any fault with being young and virile forever. But clearly, she hasn't thought of the movie theater senior discounts of which she'll be deprived.
Watch the next episode of True Blood on Sunday night at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO.
