Britney Spears is under fire yet again for using backing vocals by Sia during her Las Vegas residency.
The Womanizer hitmaker is currently in the middle of her two-year Britney: Piece of Me stint at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, and during a recent performance, a fan recorded her singing a new version of her song Perfume, and posted a clip on Instagram.com.
However, Billboard.com points out that it was songwriter Sia's vocals the crowd mostly heard, and not Spears'. While Sia is one of the co-writers on the track, a few non-official demo versions of the Chandelier hitmaker singing Perfume can be found online, and her vocals are the ones used by Spears to lip sync over in her Sin City show.
Editors of the music site suggest Spears uses Sia's track as an in-monitor guide when she sings, however the backing vocals were accidentally used as the house mix which the audience heard. The gaffe comes weeks after Spears came under scrutiny when a raw clip of her 2013 song Alien surfaced online, prompting critics to mock the singer's out-of-tune vocals.

The couple became engaged in June (14).
This is the first wedding for the bisexual singer, who previously dated musician Jocelyn 'JD' Sampson.

Australian singer/songwriter Sia has scored her first number one album in the U.S. The star's new release 1000 Forms of Fear has shot to the top of the Billboard 200, despite the fact Sia promoted it by performing with her back to the camera on a series of U.S. chat shows as dancers interpreted her hit single Chandelier.
The album is Sia's first U.S. top 10 - her previous releases have failed to break the top 20.
The Frozen soundtrack is on the rise again at two, while Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour holds at three and fellow Brit Ed Sheeran falls to four with X.
Last week's number one, Trey Songz's Trigga, drops to five and veteran rockers Judas Priest score their highest-charting album ever, as Redeemer of Souls debuts at number six.
Meanwhile, on the singles chart, Canadian pop/reggae group MAGIC! have ended Iggy Azalea's seven-week reign atop the Hot 100.
The group's Rude topples rapper Azalea's Fancy, making MAGIC! the first all-Canadian act to top the U.S. charts in over a decade.
MAGIC! frontman Nasri Atweh is not new to the top 10 - he co-wrote Justin Bieber's As Long as You Love Me, Pitbull's Feel This Moment and New Kids on the Block's Summertime.
Azalea's Fancy falls to number two on the new chart, while her Problem collaboration with Ariana Grande stays put at three. Nico & Vinz's Am I Wrong and Sam Smith's Stay With me are also unmoved at four and five.

Former R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe will celebrate the achievements of a leading Ugandan gay rights activist at an upcoming prizegiving for America's Logo TV network. The bisexual rocker will salute John Abdallah Wambere, the head of the Spectrum Uganda Initiatives campaign group, at the New York bash next Monday (23Jun14), when pioneers in the gay rights movement will be honoured at the first-ever Trailblazers event.
The efforts of Wambere and his fellow equal rights activists were dealt a big blow last year (13) when Ugandan government officials passed the Uganda Anti-Homosexuality Act, which makes same-sex relations in the country illegal. The crime carries a sentence of life imprisonment.
Meanwhile, Orange Is the New Black stars Laverne Cox and Lea DeLaria will also be feted at the ceremony, alongside Brooklyn Nets basketball star Jason Collins, who became the first openly gay man to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) when he was signed last year (13).
The event will feature a performance from Australian singer/songwriter Sia, who will hit the stage with the New York City Gay Men's Chorus.
Actress Lena Dunham showed off her dance moves by performing with pop star Sia Furler on U.S. TV on Monday night (09Jun14).
The Girls creator and star donned a short blonde wig similar to Furler's own hairstyle and performed an interpretive dance as the Australian hitmaker sang her track Chandelier while lying face down on a bed during talk show Late Night with Seth Meyers.
The routine, which finished with the singer and actress lying on the bed together, was similar to the one performed by 11-year-old Dance Moms star Maddie Ziegler in the promo video for the track. The singer/songwriter told Dazed magazine in May (14) she plans to convince an array of different people wear a wig like her blonde bob and dance or lip-sync to the track while she performs it live.
