Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has assured fans that a photo of herself getting high, which was posted online, is a hoax. Earlier this week (beg14Jul14), the snap of Brown smoking what appeared to be a bong was shared on Instagram.com, but the reality TV star insists reports she uploaded it are not true.
The picture was captioned: "This picture may be inappropriate but I want to make a connection with you all. Don't worry this picture isn't recent just hear me out. Do you know what I feel? I feel strange I can't feel any pain anymore. I don't take any drugs as of recently. Things just happened. But then there is some situation that force me to do things and the impact I'll feel pain. I did and I do. I was hurt."
The Instagram account has since been deleted and now Brown states, "I've never posted any photo of me doing anything! This is someone trying to tarnish and make a horrible name for MYSELF. People are insane."
The 21 year old's mother battled substance abuse throughout her life and cocaine was listed as a contributing factor in her death in February, 2012, when she drowned in a bathtub.
Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has apologised for lashing out at Angela Bassett after the veteran actress refused to consider casting the 21 year old in a planned biopic about her superstar mum.
Bassett is due to make her directorial debut with the TV project for America's Lifetime network and she recently insisted the idea of casting aspiring actress Brown never crossed her mind because "acting is a craft".
Her comments infuriated Houston's only child and she slammed Bassett in a series of posts on Twitter.com, in which she questioned whether the star is really a woman. She wrote, "Ha MsAng 'bassketcase' (sic) has such a damn nerve my lord, at least the world doesn't mistake me for the wrong sex... "When I win my first Grammy or Oscar, *Shrugs* hmm whichever comes 1st, I'll be sure 2shout URname (your name) out b**ch! Hah (sic)..."
The online attack sparked a backlash among some of Brown's Twitter followers for her disrespectful remarks, prompting the youngster to make amends for her harsh words.
Returning to Twitter.com, Brown writes, "I'm a young woman who can admit her wrongs. 4who (sic) was offended I apologize BUT understand me before your (sic) quick to judge though."
Bassett has yet to comment on the fall-out. All My Children soap star Yaya DaCosta has been cast to portray the late singer in I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story, which is expected to air next year (15).
Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has lashed out at Angela Bassett after the actress revealed she never once considered the 21 year old as her potential leading lady in a planned TV biopic. Bassett, who worked with Houston on 1995 movie Waiting to Exhale, is set to make her filmmaking debut with the movie based on the superstar's turbulent life for America's Lifetime network, and she has cast All My Children actress Yaya DaCosta in the lead role.
She recently gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly about the project, tentatively titled I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story, and appeared to take a swipe at aspiring actress Brown by claiming she wanted real talent for the job.
Bassett told the publication, "I did not think about casting her. And probably for a number of reasons, you know. One being that she's not an actress. I know she's acted here and there. I know she's been on their family's reality show, but she's not an actress and acting is a craft."
Her remarks did not sit well with Houston's daughter and Brown subsequently took to her Twitter.com blog to blast Bassett for her cutting comments and question whether the star is really a woman.
In a series of posts on Saturday (28Jun14), she wrote, "Ha MsAng 'bassketcase' (sic) has such a damn nerve my lord, at least the world doesn't mistake me for the wrong sex...
"When I win my first Grammy or Oscar, *Shrugs* hmm whichever comes 1st, I'll be sure 2shout URname (your name) out b**ch! Hah (sic)..."
Brown, whose father is R&B singer Bobby Brown, has only one acting credit to her name, in a 2012 episode of U.S. TV series For Better or Worse.
Bassett has also been criticised by Houston's manager and sister-in-law Pat Houston, who blasted the plans to turn the icon's life story into a TV project, insisting she is "certainly worthy of more than a television movie".
I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story is expected to air next year (15).
Bobby Brown marked Father's Day on Sunday (15Jun14) by reuniting with his daughter Bobbi Kristina. The New Edition star is believed to have been estranged from the 21 year old since the death of her mother, superstar singer Whitney Houston, in 2012, and even missed her wedding to Nick Gordon in January (14).
However, father and daughter were reunited this weekend (14-15Jun14) to mark Father's Day and Bobbi Kristina documented the meeting by posting a series of pictures on her Twitter.com page.
One of the shots shows Bobbi Kristina jumping into her dad's arms. She writes in a series of posts, "Out to dinner with daddy... #HappyHappyFathersDay! (sic)... #Happy Father's Day! (sic)."
Whitney Houston's sister-in-law has been granted an extension to a restraining order she obtained against the husband of the late singer's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Pat Houston requested a protection order against Nick Gordon last month (Mar14) following an alleged bust-up at a family party.
A judge ordered Gordon to stay away from the I Will Always Love You star's former manager and executor of her estate through a temporary restraining order, which has now been extended for 12 months.
He is banned from contacting Houston or anyone in her immediate family and faces jail if he comes within 200 yards (182.8 metres/600 feet) of them.
Whitney Houston's sister-in-law has obtained a restraining order against the new husband of the late singer's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown after alleging he made threats against her. Pat Houston claims Nick Gordon also posted photos of guns on Twitter.com earlier this month (Mar14), directly after an alleged fight at a family function.
Now he has been ordered to stay away from the I Will Always Love you star's former manager and confidante, who is also the executor of her sister-in-law's estate.
Gordon received the legal paperwork on Monday (24Mar14).
Brown and Gordon announced they were married in January (14).
Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has defended herself against online jibes about her weight. The 21 year old, whose father is Bobby Brown, has been bombarded with abuse on Twitter.com after uploading several snaps showing off her extremely slim figure.
Now Brown has hit back at her critics, insisting she is naturally lithe like her late mother.
Taking to Twitter.com she writes, "I am my mother's child! Have you ever heard of a fast metabolism? Damn, lol (laugh out loud), it's incredible how the world will judge you 4 any & everything. (sic)"
Her husband, Nick Gordon, adds, "My baby is perfect the way she is. And for the record she was made that way why change I know she is beautiful."
Houston was criticised by fans in 2001 when she performed at a Michael Jackson tribute concert looking worryingly gaunt.
R&B singer Bobby Brown had no idea his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown secretly married her 'adopted' brother Nick Gordon last month (Jan14). Gordon was informally adopted by Bobbi's mother, Whitney Houston, when he was just 12 years old. His friendship with Bobbi Kristina turned into romance and the pair married in a secret ceremony in January (14).
Her father, New Edition star Brown, has now revealed he was unaware of the nuptials, telling TMZ.com, "She didn't get married... she's still single."
Brown admitted he was not invited to the wedding and added, "I don't have much to say about it. If she says she is (married)... I don't know about it."
The couple is reportedly planning a lavish second ceremony this summer (14).
Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has credited her new husband Nick Gordon for "saving her life" after the death of her mother. Gordon, who Houston adopted when he was just 12 years old, and Brown exchanged vows in a secret ceremony last month (Jan14), and now the newlyweds are talking about the friendship-turned-romance.
Brown reveals she couldn't have imagined being with anyone else after her mother drowned in the bathtub of a Los Angeles hotel in February, 2012.
She tells Britain's The Sun, "He's saved my life through such an extremely difficult time. I was very, very low at some points. He's been everything for me and that means a lot to me.
"If my mother could see me now she would just be so incredibly happy. I can just see her - she'd be running around fussing about the wedding. She wanted this."
Brown, who is Houston's daughter with singer Bobby Brown, adds, "She would always be saying to us, 'You guys are going to get married. I already know you're going to get married and have children'. But at the time, we really didn't think it was going to happen.
"Out of nowhere, we fell madly in love with each other... It took us completely by surprise, just like mom's death did. Before then, we had lived as best friends, as brother and sister."
The couple is planning a lavish second wedding ceremony this summer (14).
Whitney Houston's daughter and her new husband have opened up about married life for the first time since announcing they had wed earlier this month (Jan14). Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon sat down with U.S. TV news show Extra for their first interview together as man and wife, and revealed the criticism about their romance only served to draw them closer.
Critics and family members were turned off the idea of the pair becoming a married couple - because they grew up as brother and sister. Houston informally adopted Gordon when he was a kid going through a tough time at home.
He says, "(The criticism) put a fire in us... The critics can say whatever they want to say... It's like we have a force field and that s**t's just bouncing off of it."
But Gordon insists the romance between him and Brown didn't blossom until after her mother's death in 2012.
He reveals, "We were young. Krissy looked at me as an older brother, and I looked at her as a little sister and she (Houston) treated me like she gave birth to me. She treated me like a son. Excuse me for saying this, but she treated me better than my birth mother. I owe everything to her.
"She made me promise several times to look after Krissy... and, Mum, I will never ever, ever break that promise."
He adds, "She wanted this. This is something she wanted to see."
The couple also used the new TV interview to clear up reports suggesting the wedding news has caused a rift between Bobbi Kristina and her maternal grandmother Cissy Houston, insisting the veteran gospel singer gave the lovebirds her blessing after initially urging her granddaughter not to rush into marriage.
Brown says, "She told both of us that she loved us very, very, very much, and Nick came up and he said, 'Grandma, I want to marry her. Is it OK? I need your blessing to do this. If I don't have your blessing, I won't feel right.' She looked at him and she smiled... very wide and said, 'Yes, son, you have my blessing'."
And the new bride admits she has also patched up another tattered relationship with her father, Bobby Brown, adding, "We have a relationship. It's a good one right now. At a point in time, we didn't even have that... I love my father more than anything."

The daughter of music royalty, Bobbi Kristina Brown was destined for a life in the public eye. She was born on March 4, 1993 in Livingston, NJ to global pop icon Whitney Houston and R&B hitmaker Bobby Brown. The young Brown grew up in the shadows of her parents' highs and lows, both in their entertainment careers and personal lives. While her mother gave the world classic hits such as "I Will Always Love You" (1992) and was regarded as the greatest voice of her generation, Brown's father was often criticized for helping her mother change from a "good girl" into a troubled woman who battled alcohol and drug addiction. Brown made her recording debut at six years old on Houston's 1999 single "My Love is Your Love," which included a snippet of her vocals. In 2005, her family starred on the Bravo reality series "Being Bobby Brown," which focused on her parents' tumultuous relationship, but also provided a glimpse into Brown's loving relationship with her mother. After 14 years of marriage, her parents divorced in 2007, and her mother was given custody of her. The split did little to clean up her mother's act, however, and even though Houston made several comeback attempts, her personal struggles eventually took their toll.
On Feb. 11, 2012, Houston died at the Beverly Hilton Hotel from accidental drowning. Toxicology reports later revealed several drugs found in Houston's body. Her traumatized daughter was rushed to the hospital that same day after suffering from anxiety. The world mourned the loss of a legend by switching its attention to her daughter, who it was rumored, was battling her own drug issues. Brown made her first public appearance at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards (ABC), where she introduced a tribute to her late mother and gave her first interview with Oprah Winfrey on "Oprah's Next Chapter" (OWN, 2012- ). Later that year, Brown co-starred on the Lifetime reality series "The Houstons: On Our Own," which centered on Whitney's side of the family dealing with life after losing her. In October 2012, Brown announced her engagement with boyfriend Nick Gordon, whom her mother informally "adopted" when he was 12 years old. The relationship raised eyebrows and turned Brown into tabloid fodder similar to what her mother had experienced. The couple, however, reportedly called off their engagement a month later.
