Daft Punk wowed revellers at Coachella in California on Friday night (12Apr13) without even attending the festival. The dance music duo, who were rumoured to be among the early headliners, stole the show by beaming a minute-long trailer for their new album, Random Access Memories, onto the festival's big screens.
The footage featured Daft Punk performing with Pharrell Williams and Chic star Nile Rodgers and confirmed the new album will feature further collaborations with Julian Casablancas, Panda Bear and Giorgio Moroder.
Drew Barrymore has ended her relationship with boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti after nearly five years together.
Barrymore, 31, appears on the cover of the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine gushing about her relationship with Moretti, 26, but friends claim their differences eventually drove them apart.
A source close to the actress tells Us Weekly, "Drew said they needed some time off."
A friend of Moretti's confirms, "Fab is now living back in his old apartment."
Rumors of a rift began in February 2005 when Barrymore was noticeably absent from Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas' wedding and a few months later the couple got into a very public argument in Santa Monica, California.
A friend of Barrymore's explains, "He's younger, and she's more worldly. He doesn't like the Hollywood stuff. He doesn't get her friends."
Although it looks like the relationship is over, there is still some hope of a reconciliation.
The source adds, "She broke up with him twice before this. This is exactly what happened last time they took a break."

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has been blacklisted by the man who helped launch her
catwalk career--because she is "nasty" and "temperamental".
Campbell shot to fame after being discovered by Elite Modeling agents near
her London home when she was just 15.
But Elite boss John Casablancas, the father of Strokes rocker Julian
Casablancas, hasn't worked with her since 1989, and says he will never work
with her again.
He tells the New York Daily News, "Naomi has a really nasty side, because of
her temperament, her lifestyle and her history. I like her a lot, but I would
not work with her again for all the gold on Earth. She was abusive with her
booking staff and it was unbearable."
But Campbell's representative says, "Naomi has been very honest about her
past and has learned a great deal from it. It's unfortunate that John does not
seem to be able to move on. I'm sure Naomi wishes him the best."
