Former Buffy The Vampire Slayer sweetheart Charisma Carpenter is set to shock fans with her latest film about the dark side of sex. The actress will play a wealthy divorcee, who is introduced to the world of bondage, discipline, sadism and masochism (BDSM) by a boyfriend, played by Bryce Draper, in Bound.
The movie, which will open at select cinemas and as an iTunes download option this weekend (09-11Jan15), has been dubbed the first erotic thriller in the year of Fifty Shades of Grey.
It also features former American football star Terrell Owens and Daniel Baldwin.
Director Jared Cohn tells WENN, "We're thrilled to bring Bound to audiences, a film that has been compared to Fifty Shades of Grey in that it addresses the subject of BDSM. However, our story is a very distinctive and pointedly modern version of the traditional dominant/submissive stereotype.
"It's a modern, suggestively dangerous romp, where power and dominance can be used for good and evil."
