Perky actress Beth Behrs found fame as an heiress-turned-waitress on the CBS comedy "2 Broke Girls" (2011- ), which became a surprise hit for the network and made stars of Behrs and her "Broke" cohort...
Actress Beth Behrs is skipping the traditional family Christmas to spend the festive holiday on a beach in Mexico. The 2 Broke Girls star reveals she and her boyfriend, Mad Men actor Michael Gladis, will be celebrating the big day in sunnier climes in Puerto Vallarta instead of with their relatives on America's East Coast.
She tells Us Weekly magazine, "I'm excited to sit on a beach, read Amy Poehler's book and drink a margarita." (MT/US/KG)
Actress Beth Behrs is nursing a minor hand injury after cutting herself while preparing food. The 2 Broke Girls star was trying to remove the pit from an avocado when she accidentally sliced her hand open.
She tells U.S. late night host Jimmy Fallon, "As I was trying to cut the pit out, I was thinking to myself, 'Wow this is really dangerous', and literally as I thought the word dangerous, I sliced. I was home alone, tried to call all these people on a Saturday morning, nobody answers their phones... Finally my lovely business manager picked up her phone, she came and got me and I went to the emergency room.
"I had never had stitches before, (I was) very nervous. I had told the doctor I had never had stitches before and he said, 'That's so crazy because I've never done stitches before', and I said, 'You seem lovely, however, I would like someone (that has done the procedure before)'... He kind of let me go on for a few minutes and he was joking."
"He's a wonderful person... I hadn't met him before but he's very witty on the Twitter and I saw his little tweets sometimes and would respond... but she's (Beth Behrs) always talked about how great he is and they've been friends for years. She thought we were both nerds. And she was right." 2 Broke Girls star Kat Dennings was introduced to her new singer boyfriend Josh Groban by her co-star Beth Behrs.

Actor Morgan Freeman is preparing to become a professional apiculturist after deciding to house 26 hives of bees on his Mississippi estate.
The Shawshank Redemption star, 77, has a keen interest in helping to save the insects from extinction and has started to turn his home into a honey bee haven. He explains, "I just received, two weeks ago, 26 hives of bees, so I'm very busy... I'm beekeeping..."
"There's a concerted effort to bring bees back onto the planet... We do not realise that they are the foundation, I think, of the growth of the planet, the vegetation... I have so many flowering things and I have a gardener too. Because she takes care of the bees too, all she does is figure out, 'OK, what would they like to have?', so we've got acres and acres of clover, we're planting stuff like lavender, I've got like, maybe 140 magnolia trees, big blossoms."
However, Freeman has so far decided against donning the traditional beekeeping hat with netted veil to avoid being stung, because he insists there has been no need for the extra protection. He says, "I've not ever used (the beekeeping hat) with my bees... They haven't (stung me) yet, because right now I'm not trying to harvest honey or anything, I'm just feeding them... I think they understand, 'Hey, don't bother this guy, he's got sugar water here.'"
Freeman, who is known for his environmental activism, isn't the first celebrity to take up the hobby - he follows in the footsteps of late actor Henry Fonda and lifestyle queen Martha Stewart, while 2 Broke Girls actress Beth Behrs and her boyfriend, Mad Men star Michael Gladis, have also become amateur beekeepers.
Lindsay Lohan's return to TV added a lot of stress to the two main characters on 2 Broke Girls. Lohan guest starred as Claire, an indecisive bride to be, who suddenly turned Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline's (Beth Behrs) cupcake business into one that would make a big, flashy wedding cake. Never mind that neither knew how to make wedding cakes.
Throughout the episode, Claire changes her mind about what sort of cake she wanted, causing a lot of stress for the girls and their business. Despite her numerous run-ins with the law and history hard partying, Lohan is still a skilled actress, one who fits in well on a comedy. 2 Broke Girls is a flexible show; characters shine for a variety of reasons, whether they utter funny one-liners, perform physical gags or behave randomly. Lohan wasn't outstanding in her role, but she wasn't poor.
After all this time, Lohan still has a screen presence. She's no longer the teenage girl who must bank on the ingenue roles that started her career. No, Lohan has graduated to a thespian who can hold her own despite being out of practice for a while. Her 2 Broke Girls performance was just a small sample of what she is capable of. Lohan delivered her lines with purpose, well, at least as much as one can when your character can't make up her mind. (Claire wanted a cake that was traditional, then old school, then hipster, then spring-theme, then colorful...)
Maybe TV isn't such a bad idea for Lohan. There are many opportunities so if the big screen is unforgiving, guest stints and maybe something juicy on HBO, Showtime or Netflix are just around the corner. LiLo's career isn't dead, but a little mouth-to-mouth on the small screen wouldn't hurt.
2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs have come to the defence of Lindsay Lohan following rumours suggesting the actress was a "train wreck" while filming her cameo on the hit comedy series. The Mean Girls star shot a guest spot on the popular U.S. sitcom last week (10Mar14), playing an indecisive soon-to-be bride who asks cash-strapped roommates, Dennings and Behrs, to make her wedding cake.
However shortly after shooting, an audience member took to the Internet to write a blog post, calling Lohan's appearance a "train wreck", alleging she repeatedly fumbled her lines and didn't "take the job seriously".
However Dennings has since taken to Twitter.com to shut down the blogger's allegations and praised Lohan for her work, writing, "This article is complete bulls**t. Lindsay was prepared, sweet to everyone, & professional. Not nice to spread lies."
Behrs later adds, "This article isn't true. I second @OfficialKat. @lindsaylohan was kind to everyone, professional and knew her s**t."
Lohan's episode is slated to air in America on 14 April (14)

Actress Beth Behrs is training to become a professional apiculturist to help save honey bees from extinction. The 2 Broke Girls star reveals her boyfriend, Mad Men actor Michael Gladis, inspired her to take up the hobby in a bid to do her part to combat the decline of bee populations across the globe, and she can't wait to make use of the by-products from the hive.
Behrs says, "I've been reading all about colony collapse and rescuing hives in urban areas... and so my boyfriend was a beekeeper before and then he had to move and leave his hive so we're getting a new one...
"We'd like to definitely use the honey and give it to our friends and family, and then there's so much you can do with wax: lipgloss, candles... (But saving the bees), that's the most important thing."
