British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has been unveiled as the new face of Paige Denim. The beauty also hinted at plans to design items for the jeans company by sharing a note on her Instagram.com page which read, "Thrilled to be the new face of @paigedenim can't wait to #LIVEINIT #STAYTUNED #PROJECTINTHEWORKS (sic)".
"Jason has taught me nearly the whole diction of Cockney rhyming slang. I get quite a few odd looks because people don't expect it to come out of my mouth. In the U.S. people just think we are bonkers!" British supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is an expert at the rhyming London dialect thanks to her boyfriend Jason Statham.
British model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was deeply shocked by the extreme poverty she witnessed during a charity visit to slum towns in Cambodia. The Transformers: Dark of the Moon star visited the Southeast Asian country's capital Phnom Penh in April (14) for her first trip with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
She met residents of the city's most impoverished communities, and was horrified by the conditions they deal with day-to-day.
In an article for British Vogue magazine, she writes, "The slums around Cambodia's capital, Phnom Penh, are crammed with children running around without shoes. They live in the most basic conditions, surrounded by dirt, rubbish and sewage in searing 37 degree (Celsius) heat. There's limited access to clean water, medicine and food. Every day is about survival for these children. It was shocking and sad to see."
Huntington-Whiteley was also moved by the story of a mother whose child fell ill and died after filthy water and sewage flooded their home during the rainy season.
She adds, "Losing your precious baby girl is no less painful when you live in a slum than if you live in a big city like London or Los Angeles. A mother's broken heart is a mother's broken heart."
The trip was filmed as part of U.K. TV channel ITV's Soccer Aid fundraising telethon, which will air in Britain on 8 June (14).
Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio has been blasted by critics for taking her five-year-old daughter to the Coachella music festival over the weekend (19-20Apr14). The annual event attracts party people and the biggest artists in music to the California desert, and the Victoria's Secret pin-up, who has become a regular, decided it was time to introduce little Anja to the festivities, posting photos on her Instagram.com page, including one of herself, two female friends, and her daughter and another young girl in the backseat of a car on the way to Coachella.
One follower commented, "If you have to drive to Coachella in a car seat, then you are probably too young to go."
Ambrosio, 33, posted more pictures of Anja enjoying herself at the music festival, including a nighttime shot, in which her daughter is being held up to see above the crowd.
Another disgusted follower wrote, "I'm a young mum that enjoys music festivals as well, however there is a limit on bringing kids to a festival like this one where it's full of druggies, drunkies, and of course a sexy environment that is unnecessary to be exposed (to) at this early age," while a third added, "Really sick to bring a kid to a festival! Bad parenting."
This was Ambrosio's second weekend at the popular event - last Saturday (12Apr14), she was spotted without her daughter, but with pal Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Megan Fox has put her feud with Michael Bay firmly behind her and is now closer than ever to the director. Bay launched Fox's career by casting her in his hugely successful Transformers film franchise, but she was replaced by lingerie model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for the third film. Fox's exit came after she compared the demanding director to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler in a 2009 interview, and it fuelled long-lasting rumours of a nasty feud between the pair. However, Fox recently reunited with Bay after she was handed a role in his new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, and the actress has now explained their relationship is better than ever.
She tells Entertainment Weekly, "He was one of the most lovely people that I dealt with in making this movie (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). I've always loved Michael. We've had our battles in the past but even when I've been really outspoken about difficulties we've had, I've always followed up by saying that I have a particular affinity to him. He can be very vulnerable, and he's very likeable and loveable. I've always been very vocal about that as well. But, sometimes we clash because we both have very wilful, powerful personalities." Fox's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, which is produced by Bay, is due for release later this year (14).
British model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has embarked on her first trip with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). She arrived in Cambodia on Tuesday (01Apr14) to raise awareness of the conditions there.
Harry Styles, Sir Tom Jones, Sienna Miller, Kate Moss and Rita Ora were among the stars who turned out for a glitzy party in London on Monday night (02Dec13) to celebrate Playboy's 60th anniversary. Hugh Hefner's saucy publication marks six decades in print this year (13) and British supermodel Kate Moss was chosen to don the iconic bunny outfit to grace the cover of the 60th anniversary December issue.
The publication's milestone was marked with a lavish bash at the Playboy Club in London on Monday, hosted by Moss and designer Marc Jacobs, and the party attracted big name stars including Sir Tom Jones, One Direction heartthrob Styles, and actress Miller.
Model Daisy Lowe was also in attendance, along with pop singers Rita Ora and Matt Goss and TV presenter Alexa Chung, rocker Noel Gallagher, model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hayley Atwell and Bob Geldof.
It was a busy night for both Styles and Moss, as they had both picked up prizes at the British Fashion Awards in the U.K. capital earlier in the evening.
Helena Bonham Carter will bring some festive fun to the Christmas advertising campaign for U.K. retailer Marks & Spencer. She stars in an Alice in Wonderland-themed promo alongside models Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and David Gandy, which will start airing in Britain next week (06Nov13).
Supermodel Miranda Kerr took her mind off her marriage split from Orlando Bloom by mixing with the fashion crowd at a Vogue magazine prizegiving in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (23Oct13). A representative for the couple confirmed on Friday (25Oct13) that they had separated several months ago after six years together.
Just days before the shock announcement, Kerr attended the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, which celebrate the work of 10 up-and-coming designers at the Chateau Marmont hotel.
The Australian beauty looked carefree as she mixed with fellow guests including Victoria and David Beckham, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, actress Lena Dunham, model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and stylish couple Diane Kruger and Joshua Jackson.
Kerr had hinted at the split by removing her wedding band, but she kept her huge diamond engagement ring in place.
Meanwhile, Bloom is concentrating on his Broadway debut in Romeo and Juliet, which premiered last month (Sep13).
The couple wed in 2010 and has a two-year-old son, Flynn.
British model/actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was devastated when pop superstar Rihanna failed to show up at a scheduled meeting. The model was due to meet the Umbrella hitmaker backstage after a recent gig in Los Angeles, but the star failed to show.
Huntington-Whiteley tells BBC Radio 1 host Nick Grimshaw, "I was standing there going, 'Oh my God, I'm going to meet Rihanna'. I stood there and 20 minutes went by, and as more time went by the more nervous I got. Then, after about three hours of waiting, I was like, 'I've had enough!'"
However, the Transformers: Dark of the Moon beauty has not lost hope and is still determined to befriend the singer, adding, "I'm really nervous to meet her now, I'm going to get starstruck and say something I'll regret. She's so cool."

Former Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's curves graced some of the world's most exclusive catwalks before she achieved fame as the female lead in the high-octane film franchise "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" (2011). She was born on April 18, 1987 in Devon, England to Charles Huntington-Whiteley, a chartered surveyor, and Fiona, a fitness instructor. Shortly after beginning her modeling career at age 17, she was strutting the runways for designers such as Elie Saab and Ashish. She also graced the covers of numerous magazines such as <i>UK Vogue</i> and print ads for high-profile labels such as Clinique, L.A.M.B., Abercrombie & Fitch, DKNY, and Ralph Lauren. In 2006, Huntington-Whiteley made her debut on the Victoria's Secret catwalk as a "Runway Angel," holding her own against more seasoned fashion models Gisele Bündchen and Alessandra Ambrosio. After three years of working for the iconic lingerie brand, Huntington-Whiteley became the first British spokeswoman for the Victoria's Secret brand.<p>In the summer of 2010, Huntington-Whiteley was suddenly on Hollywood's radar when rumors started flying that she was on the short list of actresses to replace Megan Fox as Shia LaBeouf's love interest in the third installment of the blockbuster action film, "Transformers: Dark of the Moon." Fox, who starred in both of the film's previous releases, reportedly left the franchise on her own volition. But insiders claimed that she left due to growing friction between her and the film's director Michael Bay, whom the actress allegedly likened to a tyrant on set. Shortly after news of Fox's departure broke, talks turned to whom the likely replacement would be. Aside from Huntington-Whiteley - who was reportedly dating actor star Jason Statham at the time - the other frontrunners were models Sarah Wright and Brooklyn Decker. After a highly publicized search for the film's new female lead, Bay chose Huntington-Whiteley, a surprising move since the model had practically no acting credits to her name.
