This year's Catching Fire press tour brought us the boon of copious promtions, and we all know now that Jennifer Lawrence is the most entertaining interview around. Add Josh Hutcherson into the mix, and you've got some pretty amazing chemistry – though not the kind you may think. But who cares about OTPs when you can have BrOTPs? Forget Everthorne and Everlark (or "Peenis," if you're feeling particularly crude): Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson have the best bromance ever. I platonically ship them hard, and here's why:
* They have no problem (and I mean no problem) discussing bodily functions with each other. That's what we all seek in a true friend, right? Right...?
TMI? Oh well.
*They seem to er ... regress around each other (Josh claims he can't even repeat aloud the most inappropriate thing Jennifer has ever said to him).
*Jennifer apparently knows everything about Josh, from his favorite TV show (Catdog) to his worst pet peeve (chewing straws – oh, and bonus; she even notes that he chews on Capri Sun straws, which everyone knows is tough work for your teeth).
* You gotta love their captions for the Catching Fire posters.
Now I can't unsee the fact that Cinna/Lenny Kravitz got distracted mid-photoshoot by a passing cat.
* Their sexual tension is (obviously) off the charts.
Bonus sexual tension:
* They freely admit that they act like an old married couple…
* …And quote lines from When Harry Met Sally at each other.
I mean, that's verbatim, isn't it? Well, let's add "hardcore Nora Ephron fans" to their growing list of positive attributes.
What are your favorite Josh and Jennifer moments? Let us know in the comments!
Mary Poppins stars Dame Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke reunited on the red carpet on Monday night (09Dec13) as they turned out to watch Tom Hanks' new movie about the making of their Disney classic. Andrews and Van Dyke proved a huge hit as the magical nanny and her chimney sweeping pal in the beloved 1964 movie, and they thrilled fans at the premiere of Saving Mr. Banks in Los Angeles by arriving at the event together.
The pair grinned and embraced as they posed for photographers at the special screening of the film, in which Hanks plays movie boss Walt Disney as he tries to persuade Mary Poppins' creator P. L. Travers to transform her books for the big screen.
They also mingled with Hanks and his co-star Emma Thompson, who plays Travers, at the premiere, which was also attended by the film's other castmembers including Jason Schwartzman and Colin Farrell.
Hairspray director Adam Shankman has checked into rehab. The 49-year-old filmmaker has decided to undergo professional treatment for an undisclosed problem, his representative confirms to Us Weekly.
A statement from his spokesperson reads, "Adam Shankman is currently seeking treatment in a rehabilitation center. His friends and family support him and wish him well on his journey to recovery."
The day before entering a facility, Shankman served as the executive producer and director of TrevorLive, an event hosted by suicide prevention organisation, The Trevor Project in Los Angeles. Throughout the night, he posted photos on Twitter.com as he happily posed with the night's honouree, Jane Lynch, and her fellow Glee co-stars.
Earlier this year (13), his good friend and Hairspray star Zac Efron also entered rehab, and Shankman was by his side last month (Nov13) when Efron broke his jaw, helping to nurse him back to health.
Shankman previously told Us Weekly, "I have been at his house every day and I have been making him soup... He's like my little brother, has been since Hairspray. So I talk to him like a little brother, which means I give him a lot of s**t!"
Shankman is the producer behind the successful Step Up franchise, and was the director of such films as The Wedding Planner, A Walk to Remember and Rock of Ages. He has also helmed episodes of Glee and Modern Family, and serves as a guest judge on America's So You Think You Can Dance reality competition series.
Glee co-stars Melissa Benoist and Blake Jenner have confirmed their engagement after months of speculation. News of the actors' wedding plans were first reported in July (13), and now they have officially announced they are tying the knot.
Although the on and off-screen couple is finally speaking out about their impending nuptials, they are in no rush to walk down the aisle.
Jenner tells E! News, "We've been so busy with work. We're just excited that it's happening."
Benoist admits she doesn't even know what kind of wedding she wants, but insists the ceremony will be "small and intimate and nice."
Both young stars joined the cast of Glee in season four. Jenner won the role of a lifetime after competing on the show's companion reality competition series, The Glee Project, in 2012.
Latin actors Edward James Olmos and Gina Rodriguez have remembered their late Filly Brown co-star Jenni Rivera on the first anniversary of her death. The singer/actress passed away on 9 December, 2012, after the Learjet she was travelling in crashed in Mexico, killing four members of her entourage and the plane's two pilots.
Monday (09Dec13) marked the anniversary of the tragedy and the co-stars of her debut film, independent drama Filly Brown, have shared their thoughts and feelings.
Recalling Rivera's generosity on the set of the movie, which screened at Utah's Sundance Film Festival last year (12), Olmos tells People.com, "We were working with a very tight budget and no one was getting paid. Jenni found out that our still photographer was working with no pay and asked that her pay cheque go to him. She was always trying to help others. I miss her so much!"
Meanwhile, Rodriguez reveals she has been keeping Rivera's memory alive every day for the past 12 months, saying, "I remember everything about Jenni. I've spent the past year doing everything in my power to not forget a thing. She was a powerhouse. From her soft-spoken voice, when you first met her, to her informal, tender, love and care when she takes you in.
"Jenni was everything her fans believed she was - she was everything they wanted her to be: open, honest, loving, real, humble, talented, a down a** chick and, most importantly, a voice for those that didn't have a voice. I pray I can one day be a fragment of what she was and what she still remains. Her heart never left and it's with the utmost honour that I get to share these words of a heart I truly admired and adored."
Mexican authorities investigating the crash declared last week (ends06Dec13) that technical problems and possible pilot error were to blame for the accident.
Mila Kunis and her boyfriend Ashton Kutcher looked on proudly on Saturday (07Dec13) as her brother married the dancer who trained the actress for her role in Black Swan. Kunis' brother Michael married ballerina Alexandra Blacker in St. Petersburg, Florida, and the Hollywood stars were in attendance to watch the happy couple tie the knot at the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter. The wedding was followed by a reception at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club.
Kunis and Kutcher also reportedly paid for the newlyweds' honeymoon in Australia as a wedding present.
Michael met Blacker while she was training Kunis for her role as a ballet star in the Oscar-winning drama. They became engaged last year (12).
The love match wasn't the only marriage to come from the film - Kunis' co-star Natalie Portman wed choreographer Benjamin Millepied after meeting him on set.
British/Irish boyband One Direction teamed up with the stars of the new Anchorman movie this weekend (07Dec13) to perform a comedy duet on U.S. sketch show Saturday Night Live. The pop stars were guests on the comedy programme on Saturday night (07Dec13) along with Paul Rudd and his co-stars from Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, including Will Ferrell, David Koechner and Steve Carell.
After exchanging barbs with the group, guest host Rudd declared he had set up a rival "man band", before teaming up with the young singers for a rendition of Starland Vocal Band's Afternoon Delight, and branding the supergroup "Nine Direction".
Members of One Direction went on to test their acting skills by appearing in a number of other sketches with the Anchorman stars, while they also performed tracks from their new album Midnight Memories.
Rapper Kanye West almost disrupted filming on the set of Will Ferrell's new Anchorman movie after deciding to treat the cast and crew to a special preview of his new album Yeezus. The Stronger hitmaker shot a cameo appearance in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues in May (13), a month before the release of Yeezus, and he played tracks from the project for Ferrell and his co-stars in between scenes.
However, the funnyman admits West failed to stop the music when it was time for the cameras to start rolling again.
Ferrell tells Rolling Stone magazine, "He was playing it (Yeezus) on the set, which was great. But then he didn't understand when it had to be turned off, when it was time to film. He was like, 'Hey, what's going on!' We didn't want Kanye to get upset, but at the same time, we kind of had to film."
The hip-hop star joined the likes of fellow rapper Drake, Liam Neeson, Jim Carrey and Sacha Baron Cohen to film cameos for the new comedy.
An iconic New York restaurant part-owned by Entourage co-stars Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon is being sold off at a price of $1.85 million (£1.23 million). The 75-year-old eatery next door to the Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs was purchased by officials at Racing Restaurants of America, of which the actors are investors, in 2010, but they have now decided to offload the property.
Actress Jennifer Lawrence is planning to take a short hiatus from acting to focus on her personal life. The Hunger Games star's career has moved at a fast pace since garnering critical acclaim and her first Oscar nomination for her breakout role in 2010's Winter's Bone, and Lawrence admits she is starting to crave a little time away from the spotlight.
She tells USA Today, "I've built my career. I need to build my human life. I need to get a house and connect to the people around me and not work for a little while."
The 23 year old's career has continued to soar since taking home an Academy Award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook earlier this year (13), and her performance in new movie American Hustle has also started to create Oscars buzz.
Next year (14), she will be featured in four films, including X-Men: Days of Future Past and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.
One personal relationship that seems to be going well for the actress is the one with boyfriend Nicholas Hoult - the X-Men co-stars have been dating on and off since 2011.
