The Dutch beauty, who is married to British funnyman David Walliams, is pictured in her underwear lying among a group of men, with one male model straddling her suggestively while another pulls her hair.
The promo has drawn a number of complaints since it was plastered over billboards in Australia and now officials at the country's Advertising Standards Bureau have branded the ads "demeaning to women" and ruled the campaign must be scrapped.
A statement from the organisation reads, "The Board considered that whilst the act depicted could be consensual, the overall impact and most likely takeout is that the scene is suggestive of violence and rape. The Board considered that the image was demeaning to women by suggesting that she is a plaything of these men. It also demeans men by implying sexualised violence against women."
The Brazilian beauty was the star attraction at the Brazil Foundation gala at the Big Apple's Metropolitan Museum of Art, and auctioned off the dress she was wearing to raise funds.
The Calvin Klein gown was bought by a rich fan for $50,000.
Bundchen was joined for the charity dinner by her husband Tom Brady, as well as Gossip Girl actress Amanda Setton, designer Francisco Costa and Marc Jacobs' ex-boyfriend Lorenzo Martone, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
The actress sports a lacy bra and little else in the ad, which was revealed on Wednesday (07Jul10).
She says, "Calvin Klein has always put forth such beautifully executed campaigns and it's very exciting for me to be associated with such an iconic, globally recognised brand."
She joins Twilight star Kellan Lutz and tennis ace Fernando Verdasco among Klein's current roster of underwear models.
The Scream star and rocker pal Ben Harper are the brains behind clothing line Propr and Arquette admits he's so committed to being the best designer he can be, he's taking classes to improve his skills.
He says, "It's a little worrying that I'm going into (fabric store) Jo-Ann and geeking out of fabrics and patterns."
Arquette, who has crafted a series of medical scrubs as jeans for his clothing line, admits there's one thing holding him back from becoming a budding Calvin Klein: "I have big clumsy fingers."
And he isn't stopping at just designing and making Propr clothes - he has partnered up with the founder of photo agency Wire Image to take charge of the company's promotional shoots.
A keen snapper himself, Arquette tells Nylon Guys magazine, "I called my old friend Jeff Vespa... and he offered to be my (photo) assistant.
"(Actor) Lukas Haas' younger twin brothers, Niki and Simon, modelled the summer line at my house in Malibu. They were naturals."
"I could only hope and pray that I could have a career like MARK WAHLBERG." TWILIGHT hunk KELLAN LUTZ wants to emulate the Hollywood star's career success after following in his footsteps by becoming a Calvin Klein underwear model.
Lutz, who started out as a model for American clothing brand Abercrombie & Fitch before pursuing a career in acting, was unveiled as the face and body of Calvin Klein Underwear last year (09).
He admits he had to work hard to tone up his stomach and leg muscles so he could look his best in the revealing adverts, telling the New York Times, "You have to look like you enjoy what you're selling. It doesn't look that hard, but a lot of people don't think about what goes into it."
But the movie vampire's hard work has paid off - and he's happy to receive compliments for the sexy billboards, which have been erected in and around Los Angeles and New York.
He says, "I won't lie about it. I started getting text messages and calls from producers, and when I went into meetings for scripts, people were always commenting on the billboard and asking for pictures for their daughters."
Lutz's Calvin Klein adverts come almost 20 years after Mark Wahlberg stripped off for a similar campaign as the brand's spokesmodel.
The Inglorious Basterds star began her career as a model but quit the runway to pursue her acting dreams almost 10 years ago.
She decided to go back to in front of the camera last year (Dec09) after landing a major campaign for cosmetics giant L'Oreal - and now she's building up her modelling portfolio with the new Klein deal.

Liliana dalla Piana quit her job as an aide to the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star after he constantly walked around his home in his underwear.
And Piana has issued a stark warning to any future employee of Brand's.
She tells Britain's People newspaper, "Russell was very, very high maintenance. He used to walk around in his underpants. Calvin Klein boxers might have done it for me, but Y-fronts certainly didn't."
"Some things I was asked to do were nearly impossible. I've worked for Michael Flatley and Harvey Goldsmith but Russell was by far the most demanding. He does go through a lot of personal assistants, I think some have even had mental breakdowns."

The British runway beauty frolicked naked in the sea for photographer Mario Sorrenti's titillating shots, which will appear in top men's fashion publication Vogue Hommes.
It's not the first time Moss has worked with Sorrenti - he helped to launch her career by photographing her for the iconic Calvin Klein Obsession ads, for which she also disrobed.
