Moviemaker Guillermo Del Toro appears to be creating a troupe of British actors after confirming reports Benedict Cumberbatch and Charlie Hunnam will be appearing in multiple movies. The director developed a great friendship with Hunnam while making his new action film Pacific Rim and invited him to join the cast of Crimson Peak, and now it seems he has done the same with Cumberbatch after directing the Star Trek Into Darkness actor in the upcoming horror movie.
Del Toro tells Britain's Daily Telegraph, "I am hoping to direct Cumberbatch again in a new film version of Frankenstein."
The Brit previously appeared in Danny Boyle's 2011 stage production of Frankenstein, in which he and Jonny Lee Miller alternated roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Monster.
Just last week (ends05Jul13), Hunnam told WENN that he had struck up a close friendship with the Mexican moviemaker on the set of Pacific Rim after he missed out on role in Del Toro's 2008 Hellboy sequel The Golden Army.
The actor told WENN, "He's a sweetheart to work with. He offered me one of the leads in his next movie (Crimson Peak) so it's developing into a long-standing relationship with a director (to) work with him over and over again. He's certainly expressed a desire for me to be in all his English language movies from now on. He said to me at the end of Pacific Rim, 'Ah, you're in, my friend.'"
British rocker Marcus Mumford spent his wedding night in hospital with a friend who injured himself during the reception. The Mumford & Sons frontman wed actress Carey Mulligan in a barn in Somerset, England last year (Apr12) but instead of spending the evening partying with his new bride and celebrity guests Sienna Miller, Jake Gyllenhaal and Colin Firth, the musician had to take a pal to the nearest emergency room.
A friend of the star tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "One of his best mates got drunk and wandered upstairs from the reception into the honeymoon suite and, for some reason, barricaded himself inside a wardrobe.
"Later, Marcus' father John managed to get inside the room and the wardrobe somehow fell on to the guest's head. Marcus ran upstairs and found his friend with his head bleeding. Heroically, he took him to the nearest A&E (accident and emergency) department and waited for him to get stitched up."
Celebrity couple Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge have shown off their relationship in a steamy new advertising campaign for British fashion house Burberry. The usually private pair, which is parents to daughter Marlowe, is seen up-close-and-personal in the stylish black and white shots, which were snapped by celebrated photographer Mario Testino.
In one picture, Sturridge grabs Miller's leather-clad backside, while in another, the couple kiss behind a Burberry bag.
Burberry designer Christopher Bailey says, "This was a shoot full of love and laughter. It was such a treat to work with Sienna and Tom, and to capture their magic together."
They are the latest Brits to pose for the brand, following in the footsteps of Emma Watson, Kate Moss, Eddie Redmayne and Cara Delevingne.
After hearing that a movie titled Mean Moms was slated for production, I was filled to the brim with glee at the thought of a second round of Mean Girls, just as any other female of my generation would be. Because, come on, who didn't love watching Cady Heron — Lindsay Lohan in her prime — and the rest of The Plastics scribble in their infamous pink lipstick-coated Burn Book: "Amber D'Alessio. She made out with a hot dog."
Unfortunately, the title for Mean Moms is misleading — it is in fact not a sequel to the Tina Fey-scripted cult classic. Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfreid, nor Lacey Chabert are set to pop up this time around it seems... yeah, I teared up a bit too.
Mean Moms, which Beth McCarthy-Miller (Saturday Night Live) is set to adapt for the big screen, is based on the novel Queen Bee Moms and King Ping Dads: Dealing With The Parents, Teachers, Coaches, and Counselors Who Can Make – or Break – Your Child's Future from Rosalind Wiseman, the same author as the book Mean Girls is derived from. According to Deadline, Mean Moms focuses on a mother who confronts malicious suburban moms, a far cry from the high school halls of North Shore. You may not know this since it seriously tanked, but a sequel to the hit comedy, Mean Girls 2 already happened, airing on ABC Family as opposed to in theaters... because let's be real here: it's quite a trek to follow the footsteps of the legacy left behind by the original classic.
I know your cheeks must be bright red from all the crying, but there is a silver lining, believe it or not! While McCarthy-Miller was a director for SNL, she worked alongside Mean Girls mastermind Tina Fey and supporting player Tim Meadows. So maybe they'll lend McCarthy-Miller a few pointers?
All we hope is for Amy Poehler to reprise her role as Mrs. George and bust into Mean Moms insisting, "I'm not a regular mom, I'm a cool mom".

Lesbian rocker Melissa Etheridge is celebrating the news gay people can now wed legally in California by planning her own nuptials. Minutes after U.S. Supreme Court judges declared the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) "unconstitutional" and High Court officials also overturned California's Proposition 8, which outlawed gay marriage, on Wednesday (26Jun13), Etheridge went public with her plans to wed fiancee Linda Wallem.
The singer/songwriter told CNN, "It is about family and I love my four kids. I called my now-fiancee. I'm looking forward to marrying my partner of three years... I'm going to get married in the state of California. I woke (the kids) up this morning telling them the Supreme Court ruling on DOMA... I love everybody out there. It's a great day.
"Love is love and America is beautiful... I'm proud to be an American."
The Come to My Window singer also shared her wedding news with followers on Twitter.com, writing, "I look forward to exercising my American civil liberties and getting fully, completely and legally married this year to my true love of over three years, Linda Wallem."
Etheridge split from her former partner, actress Tammy Lynn Michaels, in 2010. The couple shares custody of seven-year-old twins Johnnie and Miller. She also has two kids from a previous relationship with director Julie Cypher.
Olympic gymnast Shannon Miller has given birth to her second child two years after battling ovarian cancer. The 36 year old and her husband John Falconetti welcomed baby girl Sterling Diane on Tuesday morning (25Jun13).
The couple wed in 2008 and also has a three-year-old son, called John Rocco.
Miller, who won seven Olympic medals at the Games in Barcelona, Spain and Atlanta, Georgia, in 1992 and 1996, underwent surgery to remove her left ovary and a malignant tumour in January, 2011.
"The baby had pushed up and out of the birth canal and was sideways and so we had to kind of pretty quickly have a semi-emergency C-section." Actor Scott Wolf faced an emotional wait for the birth of his second child, Miller William, after his wife Kelley experienced complications. The baby was born healthy and happy last November (12).
Country music great Kenny Rogers is considering giving up touring outside of his native America to spend more time with his young boys. The Lady hitmaker, 74, admits he feels guilty whenever he leaves his fifth wife Wanda Miller and their two sons behind to tour the world and he is keen to stop travelling overseas.
He tells Reuters, "I have identical twin boys that are nine years old (and) I don't like being that far away from them. There is a fine line between being driven and being selfish. I have crossed that line a few times and I don't want to do that to my boys."
However, Rogers will have a few more opportunities to play to international audiences before he packs away his passport - he will hit the stage at the Festival Timitar world music event in Morrocco on Wednesday (26Jun13) and is booked to perform at Britain's legendary Glastonbury festival this weekend (28-30Jun13).
