1. Robert Pattinson hated playing Edward Cullen in Twilight

There is a pretty decent mashup of interviews Pattinson did while promoting the movies and you can just tell that he can’t wait to be done with the role. He also says that Edward isn’t really a nice guy in an interview, “Girls often say that Edward’s ‘sooo perfect,’ but he’s not. I do not like people who try to exert control in a relationship, when there is an imbalance. This is very wrong and very strange.”

2. Sean Connery hated playing James Bond

According to The Guardian, by the time he did Diamonds are Forever he had completely turned on the iconic character and donated the money he was paid for it to charity. He also is quoted saying, “I have always hated that damned James Bond,’ he has said. ‘I’d like to kill him.”

3. Christopher Plummer hated playing Captain von Trapp in The Sound of Music

This maybe his most notable role, but he was miserable doing it. He called the movie “The Sound of Mucus.” So what exactly was his problem with it? “I was a bit bored with the character,” the actor told Boston. “Although we worked hard enough to make him interesting, it was a bit like flogging a dead horse. And the subject matter is not mine. I mean it can’t appeal to every person in the world. It’s not my cup of tea.”

4. Kate Winslet hated her acting as Rose in Titanic

After years of performing, the actress can no longer watch this early role. “Even my American accent, I can’t listen to it. It’s awful,” Winslet told CNN. “Hopefully it’s so much better now. It sounds terribly self indulgent but actors do tend to be very self-critical. I have a hard time watching any of my performances, but watching Titanic I was just like ‘Oh God, I want to do that again.”

5. Katherine Heigl hated playing Dr. Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy

The actress hated her character’s story line so much that she withdrew her name from contention for an Emmy nomination in 2008. “I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” she said in a statement according to IBT. “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”

6. Alec Guiness hated playing Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars

“Apart from the money, I regret having embarked on the film,” revealed Guiness according to The Guardian. “I like them well enough, but it’s not an acting job, the dialogue – which is lamentable – keeps being changed and only slightly improved, and I find myself old and out of touch with the young.”

7. Woody Allen hated Manhattan
