Adam Levine Tells Fox News To Stop Playing Maroon 5 Music

When Adam Levine is not acting as the spokesperson for ADHD or coaching contestants on NBC’s The Voice, he apparently keeps meticulous notes about the places where Maroon 5’s songs are played. We only know about his bookkeeping habits because yesterday, he tweeted a request to Fox News that said “don’t play our music on your evil fucking channel ever again. Thank you.” To me, the request seems pretty reasonable because there are many other songs Fox News can choose to play, and some of them are even good ones like Steve Winwood’s “Valerie” or No Doubt’s “Ex-Girlfriend” or The Pussycat Dolls’ “Buttons.”

And today, Fox News responded to Levine’s plea.

Well, I shouldn’t make it seem like the entire network responded because it didn’t. More specifically, some guys named Andy Levy and Greg Gutfeld did, and during the transition between their two shows they came up with this cutesy bit where they would pretend they didn’t know what Maroon 5 music sounded like, and so to hear what kind of music they were no longer allowed to play on the air, they played a Maroon 5 song. You get it though right? They really knew what Maroon 5 sounded like. They just played the song to get on Adam Levine’s nerves! Because how dare Levine restrict the ways they choose to decorate their ears!

Adam, clearly they don’t know how much you mean business. Maybe you should show them your shark tattoo.
