Adam Sandler leads line-up for Laugh Aid live stream benefit gigs

Adam Sandler and Whitney Cummings are among the comedy stars who will perform live-streamed gigs on Saturday (April 4, 2020) to raise funds for comics struggling during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Uncut Gems star joins Whitney and the likes of Marc Maron, David Spade, Ken Jeong, Patton Oswalt, Bob Saget, Ray Romano, Dane Cook, and Howie Mandel in participating in Comedy Gives Back’s Laugh Aid event.

The live-streamed comedy sets will raise funds for the Laugh Aid COVID-19 Relief Fund, set up to help U.S. comedians who can no longer book gigs as their industry has shut down due to lockdowns aimed at stopping the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Laugh Aid organizers promise that the “live stream will be a star-studded mix of live performances, special podcasts” and sneak peeks of unseen projects.

A press release states the shows will, “entertain the world as we sequester in our homes, while also supporting the stand-up comedian community that lives and breathes with a live audience but has been sidelined with venues closed this spring.”

The live-streamed comedy sets will begin at 4 pm Pacific Time and will be available on a variety of platforms, including the Laugh Lounge app, AXS TV, LiveXLive, Twitch, Twitter, Stirr, Comedy Central’s YouTube channel, and Facebook
