Adrienne Bailon and fiance hold joint wedding shower

Singer Adrienne Bailon and her fiance Israel Houghton celebrated their impending marriage with a joint wedding shower in Hollywood on Saturday (08Oct16).
The 32-year-old became engaged to gospel musician Israel in August (16) after a romantic proposal in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
Adrienne recently revealed she is already close to finalising her dream ceremony, and this weekend, the couple was joined by friends and family at West Hollywood’s Fig & Olive restaurant for a special lunch gathering.
The bride-to-be later took to Snapchat to gush about the pre-wedding event, which also featured a three-tier cake.
“Just had the most incredible day ever. It was our Mr. and Mrs. Wedding shower,” she shared. “I have completely sweated my make-up off but it was such an amazing time and I know I wasn’t on any of the social media stuff because I was actually living in the moment but I love these people very much.”
Turning the camera onto her pals, she added, “I love these girls so much. Did you guys have fun? Now we head to the after party.”
The couple has yet to share details about when or where its wedding will take place, but Adrienne insisted last month (Sep16) things were moving along smoothly and quickly.
“I got engaged in Paris and I had a flight home back to Los Angeles – it’s a very long flight,” she told E! News. “I pretty much planned the whole wedding on the plane ride home, so I’m good. It’s going to be elegant and intimate.”
And the couple is planning the ceremony together.
“I love that,” she continued. “There’s nothing worse than when you’re trying to have a conversation with somebody and you can tell they’re not interested… that is not the case. We are both very much involved and I love that.”
“We agree on everything. That’s weird,” she added. “He actually has better taste than me, so if I picked something else, I always go with him.”
The former Cheetah Girls star and the Christian musician went public with their relationship in April (16), just months after he announced he was divorcing his wife of 20 years.
Bailon was previously engaged to music executive Lenny Santiango, who she split from last year (15). She also dated Kim Kardashian’s brother Rob from 2007 to 2009. He is also planning to head down the aisle with model Blac Chyna, who is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
