The Watchmen star, who wed Italian musician Roberto Zincone in 2007, donned a bald cap and took a razor to her eyebrows to portray a woman with hair loss condition alopecia in director Josh Radnor’s film.
But Swedish beauty Akerman admits her husband wasn’t as sympathetic to her movie look as she thought he’d be – and compared her to Steven Spielberg’s famous alien character instead.
She tells the New York Daily News, “I wear a bald cap for the role, too. I sent the picture to my husband and he was like, ‘E.T. – come home!'”.
