Alda spotlights unconventional childhood in new documentary

The M*A*S*H star, whose parents were burlesque singer Joan Brown and actor/singer Robert Alda, will raise the curtain on his childhood in Behind the Burly Q, a film directed by Leslie Zemeckis.

According to the New York Post, Alda lovingly refers to the way he was raised as “a form of abuse”, and recalls one incident in which he was forced to give up his seat in the family car to a pig his parents used as a prop in a comedy segment of their show.

The 74 year old also dubs his father a “t** singer”, who crooned alongside showgirls.
