In due time, Alec Baldwin, 53, will conquer all worlds. Film, television, politics. And now, marriage … again. The celebrated 30 Rock star and air travel delayer is now officially engaged to his girlfriend, Hilaria Thomas, 28.
In January of 2012, Baldwin professed his desire to have more children (he already has a 17-year-old daughter named Ireland from his previous marriage to Kim Basinger), something that likely provoked the pair’s decision to wed. And while his NBC sitcom 30 Rock is known for its “art imitating life” philosophy of deriving story lines from its cast members’ actual lives, his engagement seems to be an example of the reverse (in the the fifth season, Baldwin’s character married a much younger Elizabeth Banks and had a baby girl). Let’s just hope that the future Mrs. Baldwin isn’t planning on any trips to North Korea anytime soon…
Thomas was born in Mallorca, Spain, and is a co-owner of and instructor at the Yoga Viga studio in New York City. Like Baldwin, she is a graduate of New York University — but, this will be her first marriage.
