Alesha Dixon and Simon Cowell’s kids share special bond

Alesha Dixon, Simon Cowell, and Amanda Holden’s children have bonded and become best friends on the set of Britain’s Got Talent.
The 40-year-old singer turned talent show judge joined the panel in 2012 after a stint assessing contestants on Strictly Come Dancing, and is now relishing her role picking out some of the U.K.’s aspiring stars.
However, she says that if anything, her five-year-old daughter Azura Sienna enjoys her time on the show more than her because she’s such good pals with Eric, the four-year-old son of her boss, Simon, and Amanda’s six-year-old Hollie.
“When I mention Britain’s Got Talent, all she is interested in is Hollie, which is Amanda’s daughter and Eric, which is Simon’s son,” she tells U.K. chat show host Jonathan Ross. “She just associates it with a play date. She doesn’t like the buzzers so I tend to keep her away from the auditions but when we do the deliberation day, we all bring the kids, it’s like a creche! It’s lovely though, it’s so nice.”
Alesha admits that her daughter got an early start in picking acts – as she was even aware of her fellow judges pressing the Britain’s Got Talent buzzer in the womb.
“I remember when I was pregnant and I was on the show and nobody knew I was pregnant and every time the buzzer would go, she would kick me, they are so loud,” she reveals.
Before she was a talent show contestant and judge Alesha had a pop career with the girl group Mis-Teeq – and she says her daughter may follow her into music as she loves singing her old hits.
“She is slowly starting to understand,” Alesha reveals. “What is so scary for me now is we get in the car and she’ll say, ‘Mummy, can I listen to (Mis-Teeq’s 2001 hit) All I Want… Songs that came out so many years ago and now my daughter is starting to discover them and enjoy them and every now and then she will start singing (her solo hits), The Boy Does Nothing and Breathe Slow and that is so surreal to me to see her singing along.”
