The former girlfriend of music mogul Allen Klein has lost a battle to keep artworks once owned by the former Beatles manager. Iris Keitel has been locked in a legal battle with Klein’s son Jody after he accused her of keeping pictures she was not entitled to following his father’s passing at the age of 77 in 2009.
Keitel, who lived with the music industry veteran for 30 years, claimed the art collection had been given to her by Klein, but a judge at Manhattan Surrogate’s Court in New York City has now ruled against her.
Judge Nora Anderson decided Keitel had been unable to prove Klein had gifted her the paintings, which include a work by French artist Jeanne Rij-Rousseau, according to the New York Post.
