Biography

A versatile television director with credits ranging from crime dramas to children's comedies, Allison Liddi-Brown began her career directing episodes of the science fiction Nickelodeon series "The Secret World of Alex Mack. " She also directed Nickelodeon's "Mystery Files of Shelby Woo," a detective series following a child investigator and her grandfather, played by Pat Morita. Her science-fiction and fantasy credits grew with directing spots on "Xena: Warrior Princess" (starring Lucy Lawless), "Star Trek: Voyager," "Roswell," and the 2003 reboot of "The Twilight Zone." Liddi-Brown has helmed a number of crime shows, including the quirky detective serial "Monk," the darkly humorous "Bones," and the CBS procedurals "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: NY." She directed comedian Bernie Mac in his "The Bernie Mac Show" on FOX, Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee in NBC's laffer "My Name is Earl," and Blake Lively in the CW's teen drama "Gossip Girl." Liddi-Brown has also overseen episodes of the critically acclaimed drama "Friday Night Lights," the Starz series "Crash," starring Dennis Hopper, and the hit FOX series "Boston Public." In 2009, Liddi-Brown directed the Disney Channel original film "Princess Protection Program," starring Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato as a tomboy and princess, respectively, who become fast friends. The film won Liddi-Brown a Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement.
