British boxing star Amir Khan was arrested on Friday (04Jul14) for allegedly attacking two teenagers in Bolton, England. The former world champion, 27, allegedly pulled up in his car alongside a group of men while they were walking home from a mosque in the early hours of Friday.
A bust-up occurred and two men, both aged 19 and allegedly known to the boxer, suffered minor injuries.
Khan was arrested on suspicion of assault at his home hours later. He was released on bail without charge.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police says, “Officers discovered two 19 year old men had been assaulted. Their injuries are not serious.”
