In addition to being a musician, Amy Spanger was an actress who appeared in television shows. She began her acting career with roles in the series "Becker" (1998-2004), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) and "Ed" (NBC, 2000-04). She continued to work steadily in television throughout the early 2000s, appearing on "Six Feet Under" (2000-05), "Michael and Michael Have Issues" (Comedy Central, 2008-09) and "Royal Pains" (USA, 2008-). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Reefer Madness" (Showtime, 2004-05). During these years, she additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the Philip Seymour Hoffman dramatic comedy "Synecdoche, New York" (2008). Spanger most recently acted on "Bored to Death" (HBO, 2009-2012). Spanger was married to Michael C Hall.
