Biography

Television editor turned producer and director Andrew Doerfer has worked on some of the most popular television series in the 1990s and 2000s. Doerfer began working as an editor in 1992 on the made-for-TV movie "In the Line of Duty: Siege at Marion" and would serve as editor on his first full-length feature in the Walt Disney production "Iron Will" in 1994 before making the switch back to television a year later on the mystery crime thriller "Murder One." During the latter half of the 1990s and early 2000s Doerfer would become an associate producer as well as editor on the short-lived drama series "Buddy Faro," the crime drama "Big Apple," and the horror series "All Souls" before landing the editing job on ABC's instant-hit drama, "Desperate Housewives," in 2005. In addition to his editing duties on "Desperate Housewives," Doerfer would also try his hand as director as he guided actresses Teri Hatcher, Nicolette Sheridan, and Marcia Cross in an episode in 2009 entitled "Never Judge a Lady by Her Lover."
