Filmmaker Andrew Haigh is developing a biopic about tragic fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
The 45 Years direct is hoping to adapt Andrew Wilson’s McQueen biography, Blood Beneath The Skin, for the project, which playwright Chris Urch will write.
Haigh is hoping to start shooting by the end of the year (16).
This will be the second project based on McQueen’s life – last year (15), British actor Stephen Wight tackled the role of the fashion designer in London stageshow McQueen, alongside Dianna Agron, who played fictional fan Dahlia.
McQueen committed suicide in 2010.
