Anna Gunn blames steroids for weight gain

Actress Anna Gunn blames her weight gain during filming of Breaking Bad on doses of steroids she was given for a mystery illness. Gunn picked up a 2013 Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Skyler White in the hit drama, and she turned heads with her slimmed-down appearance at the ceremony on Sunday (22Sep13).
Now the actress has revealed looking after her two daughters helped her shed the weight, but she only piled on the pounds in the first place because she was given cortisone to combat an illness.
She tells People.com, “I was actually ill while I was filming the show and it affected my weight. They gave me cortisone and I puffed up and gained weight. Now I’m better, thank God.”
Gunn declines to identify the condition she was suffering from but adds, “I’m doing fine, thankfully. I’m feeling really good.”
