Third time’s the charm for singer/songwriter Annie Lennox, 57. She walked down the aisle with her beau, Dr. Mitch Besser, also 57, the founder of Mothers2Mothers, an organization committed to reducing mother-to-child HIV transmission in Africa, on Saturday. Lennox confirmed the good news by posting photos of her “wedding flowers” on her official Facebook page and Twitter account.
According to MailOnline, the ceremony was an intimate affair for 150 guests on a boat on the River Thames in London, England. Celebrity guests included actor Colin Firth and comedian Ruby Wax. Lennox’s two daughters, Lola, 22, and Tali, 19, acted as bridesmaids for their mom.
MailOnline reports that Lennox wore “a distinctive, white, floor-length gown with a lace bolero shrug and a 1920s style headpiece.” Besser, meanwhile, looked sharp in a gray suit and pastel tie.
This is Lennox’s third marriage. She first wed German Hare Krishna devotee Radha Raman in 1984, and then Israeli record producer Uri Fruchtmann in 1988. Fruchtmann is the father of Lennox’s two daughters.
