Apatow cuts kid-friendly version of Funny People

Young Maude, 11, and Iris, six, appear alongside their mother Leslie Mann in the Adam Sandler comedy, but Apatow’s picture has been given an R rating by U.S. movie censors because it contains some adult material.

As a result, the girls, who also appeared in Apatow’s 2007 hit Knocked Up, have been banned from watching their father’s movies – so the filmmaker has decided to put together a few scenes his children can watch.

Apatow says, “They are not allowed to see the movie. I’m editing a version just for them with everything that they’re allowed to see… It’s eight minutes (long) – Adam’s not in it!”.
