A movie version of the cult TV sitcom has been mooted since the show was cancelled back in 2006.
Plans were rumoured to have been scrapped last year (09), after creator Mitch Hurwitz embarked on a series of new projects, and because of stars Jason Bateman and Michael Cera’s busy movie schedules.
But Cera last week (ends08Jan10) confirmed he’s onboard, and Arnett has revealed a script is close to completion and all the cast are booked up to shoot the film this year.
The funnyman, who plays failed magician Gob Bluth, says, “We are working on the movie right now. We don’t have a completed script yet, but it’s forthcoming and we’re going to make the movie this year.”
