When Ashley Hebert, the woman Brad sent home when he was in South Africa that left him to choose between Chantal and Emily, appeared on last week’s episode during the “Women Tell All” special, it was clear she was in the process of reinventing herself. She had dyed her hair back to brown, was no longer ashamed of concentrating on her dental studies, and was at peace with the fact that Brad was not the one for her. And after shedding some tears over the loss, she made very clear to Chris Harrison that her focus was on the future because she was sure it was going to bring her good things. And last night we learned that it’s going to bring her at least 25 good things, as she has been chosen to be the next Bachelorette.
Hebert told People, “I feel like this season taught me so much about myself. It primed me for a new relationship. I’m ready to meet 25 new guys. Bring ’em on!” She promised Jimmy Kimmel that she’d make sure to keep the complaining to a minimal, but you know producers are going to tell her to think about how she legally still cannot extract a canine while they’re shooting those “lonely waiting for Christopher Columbus” scenes by the water.
