Ashton Sanders to play RZA in Wu-Tang Clan series

Ashton Sanders has been cast as Wu-Tang Clan founder and leader Rza is a new TV series about the rap group.
The Moonlight and Equalizer 2 star has joined Shameik Moore and Siddiq Saunderson as the new cast members of Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
The 10-episode series, which will air on streaming service Hulu, also features Marcus Callender, Zolee Griggs, and Erika Alexander.
Saunderson will portray Dennis ‘D-Love’ Coles – also known as Ghostface Killah – in the project, which was developed by RZA.
The rap mogul’s bandmates and the estate of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard will serve as consulting producers.
The project is inspired by RZA’s books The Wu-Tang Manual and Tao of Wu, and is based on the group’s true story, according to The Wrap.
