Biography

Barry Switzer was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Switzer worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Coach" (1988-1997). He appeared in a number of television specials, including "The Opening Ceremonies of the 1995 Special Olympics World Games" (1994-95), "Six Days to Sunday" (TNT, 1995-96) and "Super Bowl XXX" (NBC, 1995-96). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "NFL Head Coach: The Man Behind the Men" (TNT, 1996-97) and "Coach Osborne: More Than Winning" (PBS, 1998-99). He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "Arli$" (HBO, 1996-2003). In more recent years, Switzer had roles in "Possums" (1998) and the Al Pacino action film "Any Given Sunday" (1999). Most recently, Switzer acted on "Saving Grace" (TNT, 2006-09).
