Biography

Actor Ben Hall was known for his roles on the silver screen. Hall's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "The Skyrocket" (1926), "Nix on Dames" (1929) and "South Sea Rose" (1929). He also appeared in "Wall Street" (1929) and the George Arliss dramatic comedy "The Millionaire" (1931). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Racing Luck" (1935) with Bill Boyd, "Pigskin Parade" (1936) with Stuart Erwin and "Smoke Tree Range" (1937). He also appeared in the Henry Fonda crime picture "You Only Live Once" (1937) and the drama "Algiers" (1938) with Charles Boyer. Hall was most recently credited in "Manhattan" (WGN America, 2013-). Hall continued to exercise his talent in the forties through the early 2000s, taking on a mix of projects like "My Darling Clementine" (1946), "Elvis: The Great Performances" (CBS, 1991-92) and "Hotel de Love" (1997). His credits also expanded to "Monkey Business" (Showtime, 2000-01). Hall passed away in May 1985 at the age of 86.
