Bernadene Hayes worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Hayes kickstarted her acting career in various films such as the crime flick "Parole!" (1936) with Henry Hunter, "The Accusing Finger" (1936) and "Absolute Quiet" (1936). She also appeared in "Great Guy" (1936), "The Emperor's Candlesticks" (1937) and "North of the Rio Grande" (1937). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the Sylvia Sidney comedy "You and Me" (1938), the Myrna Loy comedy "Lucky Night" (1939) and "Panama Lady" (1939). She also appeared in "King of Chinatown" (1939). During the latter part of her career, she continued to act in the crime picture "This Gun For Hire" (1942) with Veronica Lake, "Mr. Winkle Goes to War" (1944) with Edward G Robinson and "Dick Tracy's Dilemma" (1947). She also appeared in "Living in a Big Way" (1947) and "Women in the Night" (1948). Hayes last acted in the drama "Wicked Woman" (1954) with Beverly Michaels.
