Beverly Johnson Has No Regrets Over Bill Cosby Allegation

Beverly Johnson is adamant she does not regret going public with her sex abuse allegation against embattled comedian Bill Cosby.

The veteran supermodel is one of more than 20 women who have come forward with claims against the funnyman, accusing him of sexual abuse and indecent behaviour in alleged incidents that occurred decades ago.

Johnson detailed her own experience with Cosby in an article written for America’s Vanity Fair magazine in which she claimed the 77 year old drugged her at his home in the 1980s during an audition for The Cosby Show. The 62-year-old catwalk star admits telling her story changed her life, but insists she does not regret speaking out.

She tells The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s been a whirlwind… My whole life changed in the last month. There has been an outpouring of women telling me their sexual abuse stories. I knew it was an important thing to do.

“Now I hear these stories wherever I go. I know, though, that speaking out was the right thing to do – it is always the right thing to do.”

Cosby’s attorney has dismissed the claims against the comedian as false.
