Big Sean ended Kendrick Lamar feud after Nipsey Hussle’s death

Nipsey Hussle’s death prompted Big Sean to end his feud with Kendrick Lamar.

Sean and Nipsey’s new track, Deep Reverence, dropped on Monday night (August 24, 2020) and the lyrics suggest Hussle’s assassination last year (2019) had a big impact on his collaborator.

“After what happened to Nipsey, I reached out to Kendrick,” Sean raps on the new tune. “It wasn’t even no real issues there to begin with/Lack of communication and wrong information/From people fuelled by their ego – it’s like mixing flames with diesel.”

He recently revealed the Kendrick beef was easily squashed, telling Joe Budden, “Me and Kendrick got a history of songs… When this whole Big Sean, Kendrick beef was going on, it was something I wish I would have spoken up about because there was nothing.”

In Deep Reverence, Sean also opens up about his girlfriend Jhene Aiko’s miscarriage, revealing the tragedy messed with his mental health.
