Biography

Biggie Smalls was most commonly know for his contributions in the rap music genre. A regular on the awards show circuit, he made an appearance on "The 1995 Billboard Music Awards" (1995-96). He also took on a few movie roles at the time, appearing in the Craig Mack documentary "The Show" (1995) and the Busta Rhymes documentary "Rhyme & Reason" (1997). In the nineties and the early 2000s, Smalls devoted his time to various credits, such as "10 Things I Hate About You" with Heath Ledger (1999), "Save the Last Dance" (2001) starring Julia Stiles, the Eminem and Kim Basinger smash hit "8 Mile" (2002) and the Martin Lawrence and Will Smith hit "Bad Boys II" (2003). In the early 2000s and the 2010s, Smalls lent his talents to projects like "The Wackness" (2008), "30 for 30" (ESPN Network, 2009-2014), "Notorious" (2009) starring Jamal Woolard, "Brooklyn's Finest" (2010) and "What To Expect When You're Expecting" with Cameron Diaz (2012). Smalls last provided music for the comedy "The Wedding Ringer" (2015) with Kevin Hart. Biggie Smalls passed away in March 1997 at the age of 25.
