This is probably the only bit of news that could trump Bill Hader‘s Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series Emmy nomination for his work on Saturday Night Live: He and his wife, Maggie Carey, welcomed the birth of their second daughter over the weekend. A rep for Hader confirms to Hollywood.com that little Harper Hader (not Harper Beckham) was born in New York City on Saturday.
Before the birth of his first child, Hader told People.com, “I’m really excited. I think it’s going to be awesome.” Carey followed up by saying, “Bill’s going to be a really cute dad.”
Unfortunately, Hader didn’t turn out to be all that cute on delivery day. “I was drunk, knocking stuff over, ‘We gotta do the picket fence!’” he told People.com. “And they’re like, ‘What are you talking about? We’re having a baby!’ Then they threw me out, ‘Get him out of here!’” Hopefully things went more smoothly the second time around.
Hader and Carey’s first daughter, Hannah Kathryn, is now two years old.
