An entrepreneur at heart, Bill Rancic shot to reality television stardom when he was declared season one winner of the hit reality series "The Apprentice" (NBC, 2004- ). Thanks to his business savvy and leadership abilities, Rancic beat out 15 other contestants for a chance to run one of Donald Trump's companies. Following his win, the reality star made the rounds promoting the show for NBC, which led to a fortuitous meeting with "E! News" (E!, 1998- ) co-host Giuliana DePandi, whom Rancic would later marry in 2007. The couple stayed in the spotlight, allowing cameras into their home for their own reality show "Giuliana & Bill" (E!, 2009-2012). The popular series documented their unsuccessful attempts to have children and let the public in on their experiences following DePandi's breast cancer diagnosis. Throughout their ordeal, Rancic appeared very much the supportive and loving husband. In 2012, Rancic and DePandi made headlines once again after they became parents of a baby boy born via a gestational surrogate. It was exactly the kind of good news that Rancic and his wife had longed for, and that endeared him once again to millions of TV viewers.
