Blanche Frederici worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Frederici started her acting career landing roles in such films as the comedy "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1928) with Ruth Taylor, the Gloria Swanson drama "Sadie Thompson" (1928) and "Wonder of Women" (1929). She also appeared in "Stolen Love" (1929), "The Trespasser" (1929) and "The Bad One" (1930). She kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in "The Cat Creeps" (1930), "Friends and Lovers" (1931) and "Ten Cents a Dance" (1931). She also appeared in "Woman Hungry" (1931). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Man of the Forest" (1933), "The Barbarian" (1933) and "Hold Your Man" (1933) with Jean Harlow. She also appeared in "Behind Jury Doors" (1933) and "Secrets" (1933). Frederici last acted in the Clark Gable comedy "It Happened One Night" (1934).
