Bobby Brown Charged With a DUI

bobby brownIt looks like Bobby Brown is well on his way to restoring his former bad boy reputation. E! News confirms that the R&B singer has been formally charged from his DUI arrest on March 26, and could actually end up serving some jail time.

According to a rep for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office, prosecutors filed three misdemeanor charges against Brown: driving under the influence, driving with a blood alcohol level greater than 0.08 percent, and driving on a suspended license. And if convicted, the 43-year-old star could potentially serve up to one year in jail.

This whole situation began after Brown was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol, who originally planned to charge him for talking on his cell phone. But after speaking with Brown, the officers suspected he’d been drinking and ordered him to submit to a field sobriety test, which he failed.

However, this isn’t the first time Brown’s been in trouble with the law. He already has a previous drunken-driving conviction under his belt, was arrested for battery in 2003 and jailed for a parole violation in 2004. The list just keeps on growing now that this new DUI ordeal is underway.
