Bobby Brown’s DUI Sentence: 55 Days Behind Bars

Bobby Brown

There are certain people in Hollywood who shouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel (like Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes) and Bobby Brown is one of them. Brown was sentenced Tuesday to spend 55 days in jail for driving under the influence, TMZ reports.

Brown was stopped by police on Oct. 24 for driving erratically and arrested after the officer smelled alcohol in his car. The R&B singer-songwriter, who was previously married to Whitney Houston, was charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license.

On Tuesday, Brown pled “no contest” to the charges brought against him. The judge then sentenced him to 55 days in jail, four years of probation, and to complete an 18-month alcohol program. Brown has until March 20 to turn himself in and must go to three AA meetings a week until then.

This incident is Brown’s third DUI bust. He was in fact driving on a suspended license because of a DUI conviction from 2012. And, Brown was also found guilty of driving under the influence back in 1996.

Clearly, Brown hasn’t learned his lesson.
